[the first creature] was relatively thin, with a circle that was resting on a stick that attached to their heads, a bit like Teletubbies, except the big circle had a smaller one above it, separated by a smaller stick. The second type was thicker and shorter, with a rhombus on top of their heads, both were a deep shade of blue. Alan's instinct got him to swiftly rush to hide in the forest, he went a bit deep then got behind a trunk, and observed; the creatures went to the magenta trees and sat against them, they closed their eyes, the circles and rhombuses started filling up and changing to yellow, whenever a creature was done filling up, they would go lay on the beach.
This went on for hours because the filling process was astonishingly slow, when they all finally finished, they aligned themselves on the beach once again, and re-entered the ocean harmonically...
The next day rolled around, and Alan's thirst and hunger were increasing, he thought to explore in hopes of finding nourishment.
During exploration he had time to think about those creatures, they seemed passive, but he didn't dare test them.
He thought to open Xynar and read it, maybe it provided additional information, the last paragraph stated:
"the Gwaxy and Guen creatures exposed themselves to the disturbed outside for the sake of their yearly refill, Alan hid from them scared they may harm him, he observed as wave one of two recharged that night, each particle entering their identitrima gave them more life and opportunity. After they were done, they calmly walked back to the sea, going back for the tasks that were awaiting them[...]"
"Oh, so those shapes are called identitrimas? Interesting, I wonder what that means. Also, wave one of two? Will there be a second wave tonight? The book didn't mention anything about their hostility or purpose, just their names, Xynar is playing smart isn't it?" Just as he finished thinking that to himself, the book disappeared from his hands, it just, vanished, Alan gasped from disbelief and before he could do anything three small objects came flying at him, one entered his throat and the other two went into his ears, then the book reappeared.
Alan opened its pages directly to figure out what's happening, the book read "... Xynar's first intervention for the blessing and curse started with a blessing, the gift of tools that will allow Alan's words to translate from his language to the Gwaxy language, and for the Gwaxy language to be heard as his own. The adventurer will be needing them in a few minutes"
The last sentence gave him an uneasy feeling..
He explored further and found what looked like a squash, but, could he really trust it? He cultivated it and tried igniting a fire again, this time fueling himself with something really strong, anger.
He got a few stringy sticks and some thick ones, he rolled a vertical stick against a horizontal small log until a small fire ignited among the powder of carbon, he carefully put it inside the really thin stringy sticks and it lit them up quickly, from there he put the small sticks inside the bigger ones, he figured to maybe cook the squash, so he could tolerate it better.
Then he smirked, he remembered, he had a really big advantage, Xynar, although it was what messed his life up in the first place, he can use it for his advantage, he opened it to read the last part, as to see what the book narrated, if the book isn't calling it a squash, then it probably isn't. Luckily, it was called a squash.
In the meantime he started collecting stone for stone tool making, he labeled himself "Discount Bear Grylls" He couldn't make much but an axe, which was enough to cut through stuff, like the squash, but it wasn't good enough, he wasn't comfortable when it came to security
"Alright, now suck it up and eat it" he said as he ate through the vegetable after it was done cooking, he thought of entering the ocean as he could spot fish, but after seeing Gwaxys and Guens he was too afraid to do so, and from what he read from Xynar, they should be coming out again, something he wasn't necessarily looking up to.
He noticed that both the creature names Gwaxy and Guen, were just the name of the islands "Gwaxyguen" separated, he concluded the islands must've been here first, so the creature probably took their names from them, not the opposite, but why? Are they the guardians of the islands? What are they guarding it from? Do they know about him and are letting him live or do they not know? He wanted to learn more about them, but he couldn't, maybe time will reveal more. He went to the beach to collect water in a hollow rock he found, he figured if he evaporates all the water and re-collects it, the salt would stay at the bottom, then could he hope to have drinkable water. He removed his shoes and socks, rolled up his pants and started slowly entering. He was shivering when water first touched his feet, he got flashbacks from yesterday and he just thought of those creatures grabbing him by the leg and dragging him towards the depths to drown him.
After a while he started enjoying the water, he took off his clothes and just sat there, everything below his belly button was covered, he just played with the water and sand like a little toddler.
We all have a toddler in us, don't we?
(Depiction of the Guenara rock Alan found)
While he was grabbing the sand, his hand hit what felt like a rock, he hung onto it and pulled it out, it was emerald green and teal, one of the most if not the most gorgeous rock he's ever seen
He hugged it, desperately trying to conquer the loneliness with imagination. The rock glowed, which caught him off guard, so he unconsciously repelled from it, but then he grabbed it and went to the beach to read what Xynar had to say about it, the pages read "..found a Guenara rock, his true emotion made it glow, the Guenara rock is now a part of Alan's self, Alan will be able to use it for his advantage once he figures out what it can do"
"Damn it Xynar, couldn't you just tell me more about stuff? Do I need to figure it all out myself?" Alan said feeling helpless, then he examined the rock and thought out loud "Guenara? Is everything in here named after Gwaxy and Guen? Wait... could these creatures possible have a whole city in the ocean? And this rock is one of the ones they use there?"
Since he had no ability to explore much, all he was left able to do is theorize what was happening using as much logic as he could. He put his clothes back on and started fidgeting with the rock trying to provoke it so he could figure out how and what to use it for
"La la la laaa
La la la laaa
La la la laaa
La la la laaa.."
By sunset, Alan started hearing this singing, it almost seemed like a ritual, it was close to where he was having the fire, so now he has Gwaxy and Guen on the beach, and whatever this is in the forest, he tried to stay as vigilant as he could, he procrastinated investigating but then decided on it, he thought it'd be better if he found them than if they found him..
