The menacing man walked his way through the opening towards the giant seven Trees.
He would not pray or plead like his weak uncle had. He was stronger. He knew he was chosen. He knew he was the finality of it all.
He completely ignored the golden Trees and strode straight down the middle of the opening to the black one. He looked up at the giant black structure, gnarled branches stretching outwards, the top of the tree lost in the clouds above.
He stood there for many moments, breathing in the same air the black tree provided, closing his eyes and breathing deep as he touched the sacred charcoal bark.
Thud.
He opened his eyes and smiled. He walked in the direction of the sound he heard, picking up the fallen object. It was a black, yet shining apple.
Solan bit into the rich fruit.
