Staked
Chapter 4
-----
"So, you up for a few drinks at the Grill?" I asked Damon. Stefan had just taken Elena home and it was late and I was getting really bored.
"Why not?" Damon said. I grinned and went upstairs. I went into my room and picked out an off the shoulder black mini dress, lilac laced patterned tights and black heels. I curled my hair and done my make up. I went back downstairs and had the satisfaction of watching Damons jaw drop to the floor. I smirked and grabbed my jacket and phone. We went out to the car and got in. We drove to the Grill and ordered some drinks. Damon passed me my glass and I knocked it back. It didn't taste like a white wine spritzer. I choked it up and Damon laughed.
"What was that?" I spluttered.
Damon shrugged. "From that guy over there." Damon pointed to a blonde haired guy at the end of the bar. When he saw me looking at him, he held his glass up and I smiled seductively at him. "New record for you, Rubes. 4 minutes and you already have a guy falling over you." Damon said. I grinned and knocked back a vodka shot. The bartender came over and passed me a glass filled with a blue liquid.
"From the man over there." He said and pointed to the same blonde man. I put the glass to my lips but Damon ripped the glass from me.
"Damon!" I complained. Damon sniffed the liquid and growled.
"Spiked." He spat. I hissed and went over to the man.
"Thank you very much for the drinks. Except I don't like doped drinks." I said. With that, I pulled my fist back and punched him in the jaw. He wasn't a vampire. He looked up at looked straight into my eyes. He was a witch and he was trying to do that head ache thing. I played along and grabbed my head. I groaned but quickly looked up. I smirked at him. "I've been around a long time so you'll have to do better then that." I warned. I looked around quickly to see if anyone was looking, no one was so at inhuman speed I pushed the man up against the wall. I sank my fangs into his neck and drank every ounce of blood from him. I dropped his body and kicked it to the side. I walked back to Damon and grabbed his hand. I quickly whispered to him all that happened and we shot straight home. As soon as we got in the door, Stefan came up to us.
"Where have you been? I-" He began but Damon stopped him.
"A warlock spiked Rubys drink, he tried to so that head pain thing but it didn't work but Ruby killed him." Damon hissed.
"Apart from that, everything was fine." I shrugged.
"What did he look like?" Stefan asked.
"Blonde hair, kinda pale, brown eyes and a small scar on his cheek." I said.
Stefan nodded. I kicked off my shoes and took off my jacket. "I'm going to bed. Later." I yawned.
"Night." Stefan said. Damon didn't say anything but I heard his footsteps behind me. I went into my room and changed into a grey, oversized t-shirt. I wiped my make up off and tied my hair into a messy bun. I heard a knock at the door and Damon came in.
"Hey, you okay?" He asked.
"Fine, thanks. Why wouldn't I be?"
"Because someone just tried to kill you." Damon said, raising his eyebrows.
I shrugged. "Nothing I'm not used too."
"True." Damon laughed and left. I layed down in bed and turned the light off. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep. I couldn't. It was weird, vampires never have this problem. I turned over and kept trying. In the end, I sat up and looked at the clock. I had been trying to get some sleep for an hour now. I sighed and got up. I silently padded to Damons room and snuck in. He was awake aswell. I got into bed next to him and grinned.
