I couldn't believe this, Klaus wanting Ruby, and she was gonna go! She couldn't go, she couldn't. We would find away around it. It was like she was giving up, getting ready to say goodbye. Bailing on me. I looked at her, lying asleep next to me. She looked so peaceful. I brushed a strand of stray hair away from her face and she snuggled closer to me. I wrapped my arm around her and she suddenly spoke.

"Still awake?" She murmered.

"I thought you were asleep." I said.

"I was. Why aren't you?"

"Couldn't sleep." I said.

She looked up sleepily and leaned her arms of my chest. "You were thinking about Klaus again, weren't you?" She sighed. I didn't say anything so she continued. "Damon, I have to do this."

"No you don't! We'll find a way around it. Bonnie can kill him."

"And kill herself in the process! She's not doing it!" She whisper-yelled.

"Fine, but we'll find a way." I said. "I'm not giving up."

"Fine but can we talk about this in the morning? I'm tired." She murmered. I nodded and kissed her hair. She leaned her head against my chest and we both fell asleep.

I woke up to Damons quiet snoring. I woke him up by rolling on top of him and kissing him. His lips responded and I pulled away. He look annoyed and I laughed.

"Morning." I said.

"Morning." He murmered kissing me again. "How long do we have?"

I pulled back and gave him a confused look.

"Until Klaus comes." He said.

"Ebony said a week or so, maybe more." I sighed.

"That soon?" He hissed.

I nodded sadly. "Yeah."

"We better get to work then." He said getting up.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Saving you." He said, going into the bathroom. I got out of bed and grabbed some clothes. I went down the hall and into the bathroom. I had a quick shower and got changed. I straightened my hair and put my make up on. I went back to our room and saw Damon on the bed, dressed and on his laptop. I went and sat next to him but he didn't look up.

"What are you doing?" I sighed.

He didn't answer but kept looking.

Ruby went downstairs and I quickly grabbed her phone off the table. I rang Ebonys number and waited for her to pick up.

"Hello?" She said.

"It's Damon, I need your help to kill Klaus." I said, getting straight to the point.

"Hello, to you too." She said sarcastically.

"Don't screw with me, get over here now." I growled.

"If you ask politely..." She said. I snarled. "Fine, be over in an hour." She said and hung up. I put Rubys phone back and turned off the laptop. I went downstairs and saw Ruby sipping at a bottle of blood. She suddenly spat it out and started choking. I rushed over to her and grabbed the bottle.

"How the hell does Stefan drink that?" She spluttered out. "It's disgusting."

I smirked and smelt the contents of the bottle. Animal blood. "You aren't going Bambi-Killer on me now, are you?"

"Just wanted too see what he likes about it. Clearly, Stefan has no taste!" She said. I laughed and put the bottle back in the fridge. I grabbed to blood bags and poured them into glasses. I gave one to Ruby and she gulped it down. I smirked and took a few gulps of mine. I sat on the couch and she put her head in my lap.

"By the way, Ebonys coming over." I said. Ruby looked at me confused and I explained. "I just need to have a little talk with her, that's all."

She nodded but still didn't look convinced. "Okay, when will she be here then?" She said.

"Around half an hour now." I said. She nodded again and kissed me softly.

He kissed me back and I pulled away. Ebony would be here soon. I got up and put my empty glass in the kitchen. I knew why Ebony was coming over, I wasn't stupid. Damon wanted her to kill Klaus. I knew she could but there was still a risk it could go wrong and she would die. I went back to Damon and saw him on his phone.

"Ok, What?! No Stefan!, yeah, bye little brother." He said and hung up.

"Trouble?" I asked.

"Elena's deciding to trust Elijah." He sighed.

"What?" I hissed. "Has she lost her mind?"

"Stefan's trying to talk her out of it but she can be very stubborn." He said.

"We'll have to stop her. He cannot be trusted." I growled.

"We will, don't worry." He said. I nodded but was still frowning. Just then, the doorbell rang and I went to go get it. I opened the door and saw a worried Ebony.

"We have a problem." She said. "It's Klaus."
