I looked at them as two of the men dragged Damon away. "What do you want and when did you come back?" I hissed.

"We want the book." She said.

"What book?" I asked.

"Your book. The book." She said. Oh crap, Damon was right when he said that is why people wanna kill me.

"If I don't give it to you..." I challenged. Jules smirked and I heard a groan from the living room. I shot in and saw some nerdy twat pulling some iron chains which he connected to a wooden stake collar around Damons neck.

"Damon dies." She shrugged. Damon gritted his teeth as the nerd pulled the iron chains again.

"Fine, but why do you want it?"

"Klaus wants to use us for the ritual and we don't want that to happen, And we can get rid of every single vampire to walk the earth." She smirked.

"Don't do it Ruby." Damon gasped out. Nerdy pulled the chains again and Damon face twisted in pain.

I nodded at Jules. "I'll go get it but let him go first." I said.

She shook her head. "Ha, no."

"Why not?"

"Do you really think we're that stupid?"

"Do you really want me to answer that? Your werewolves after all." I smirked.

One of the guys ran towards me but I quickly pulled his heart out of his chest. Jules was fuming but I just chuckled. "Now, I will get the book." I said and went upstairs to my room. I closed the door loudly but then ran over to the window. I opened it silently and swooped soundlessly to the ground. I went silently through the front door. They were all looking up the stairs so I ran behind the 3 men and pulled their hearts out of their chests. Only Jules was left, but she was gone in an instant. I shot over to Damon and broke the collar off carefully. I saw the wounds in his neck and I went into the kitchen. I grabbed some human blood bottles and went back to Damon. I gave him one and he gulped it down. When I saw that it wasn't healing very well because it wasn't fresh, I bit my wrist and held it out to him. He looked confused and tried to resist but I could see his face change. I saw his fangs appear and he latched onto my writst. He drank deeply and I pushed him off after I saw the wounds had healed. My writst healed and I gulped down a bottle of human blood. I felt better instantly and looked at Damon.

"You okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, thanks for that." He said, avoiding eye contact. I took his face in my hands and forced him to look at me.

"What's wrong?" I said. He sighed.

"We could've died because of that book."

"And you want me to get rid of it?" I guessed.

"No, just put it in a safe place, we'll need it to kill Klaus so he won't do the ritual." He said. I gulped and did my best smile even though it was forced.

"Yeah, okay." I said and went upstairs. I kneeled on the floor and pulled out the metal, bulletproof box. I opened it and saw the leather book. I took it out and went downstairs. "So what are we gonna do with it?" I asked Damon once I got downstairs. "I have a friend who could look after it?" I suggested.

He nodded. "As long as they can keep it safe and won't get hurt." He said.

"I thought you wanted it to be destroyed." I said raising an eyebrow.
