Damon grabbed me and pulled us into our room. It was like the fact that Klaus was here for me, was only starting to sink in. Damon wrapped his arms around me protectively but I pulled out of them.

"You think he's still here?" I asked Damon quietly.

"I don't know, I'll go look." He said, walking towards the door.

"No!"

"Why?" He stopped. Klaus wanted me, not Damon and I wasn't about to let Damon get hurt if he was still here.

"I'll go." I said. "But can you clean the mirror please?"

"Sure." He said and went into the bathroom. I went onto the landing and went up the hallway. I knew he was either here or he was near. But Ebony said he would be here tomorrow. I looked in all the rooms upstairs and then looked downstairs. I told Ebony what happened and she sensed the same as me, he was near. We could both feel it.

"He's waiting, he wants to make an enterance. He wants you to feel that he's near." Ebony said lowly, under her breath.

"Well, it's working." I muttered as we went outside. Ebony closed her eyes and started chanting quietly. It sounded like latin, but I definately knew it wasn't english. The wind began to blow harder and the sky clouded over. This continued for a few minutes until Ebony opened her eyes and looked at me.

"He's waiting for you, he'll be here tomorrow morning. He wants to give you time." She said.

"Hah, actually sounds like he cares. He's giving me time to spend with Damon?" I said.

"No, to say goodbye because he's never gonna let you see this place again." She said emotionless. I gulped and glared out into the forest. Ebony went inside and I followed shortly after. Damon was now downstairs, gulping down a bottle of vodka. I sighed and walked over to him. I put my hand over the bottle and Damon glared at me.

"That's not gonna help." I said. I put the bottle back and Damon sat down in the armchair. I stood behind him and put my hands on his shoulders. His body was rigid and his fists we clenched. God, that boy and his mood swings. Ebony went outside and I went around the chair to face Damon. He pulled me onto his lap but his posture didn't soften. I put my hand tenderly on his neck and leaned my head on his shoulder.

"I love you." I said softly.

"I love you too." He said. I leaned up and kissed him deeply. He kissed me back and I started tugging at his shirt. We were in our room in a second and I pulled the sheet over our heads.

I woke up and looked at the clock. It was almost 6pm. I looked up at Damon and saw him staring up at the ceiling. I lightly stroked his chest and he looked at me. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me on top of him.

"Please don't go." Damon said so quietly, I almost didn't hear him.

"Damon, we've been through this. I don't want to but I don't have a choice. Or he'll hurt everyone I care about, inluding you. He'll kill Elena in the ritual aswell. I have to do this." I said.

He glared and I rolled off him. I got out of bed and changed into some different clothes. Damon did the same and we went downstairs. We went into the living room until Ebony shot over to me, her face a mask of worry.

"Ruby! It's Klaus, he's here now."

"What?" I said.

"He's here."

"You said he wasn't supposed to be here until tomorrow." Damon said.

"That's what I thought. He's outside now." Ebony sounded like she was choking.

I gulped but nodded. I went outside and saw the original standing in the driveway. "Darling, it's been too long." He said. He was smiling evilly and his eyes glinted. I moved closer but Damon grabbed my arm. I turned and saw he had tears in his eyes. I held his hand tightly and kissed him softly.

"Damon, let me go. I don't want you to get hurt." I said soothingly. A single tear escaped his eyes and I hugged him tightly for a moment. "I love you." I whispered and kissed him again. "Now, close your eyes."

I couldn't see the sadness in his eyes but it dissapeared when he closed them. I kissed him one final time and let go of him. I walked over to Klaus and he zoomed me away from the love of my life.

I know its short! I did it quickly and I used the Stefan/Elena goodbye scene. I meant to upload sooner, i really did. thanks for staying with me. also listen to 'Science&Faith By The script' whilst reading this. it really sets the mood :)
