Austin's POV

I woke up on the day of Wrestlemania feeling nervous. Knowing that this match tonight, if shit goes sideways, could very well be my last match. No matter what, I'm going to fight in this match like it's my last, as I always do. I looked down next to me to see Liv sleeping soundly on my arm. Liv has been rooming with me since we got back from our little vacation. Technically, I'm not supposed to have her in here, but I don't care. I just really hope my match tonight isn't worrying them. They have huge matches tonight. Liv and Sarah are defending the tag titles in a fatal four way tag match, and Ruby is facing Becky Lynch which is easily the biggest match of her entire career. I sighed as I tried to gently move Liv so I could get up. I am beyond anxious this morning and I hoping to sneak out of the room without waking her up. I quickly wrote her a note to put on the nightstand next to her.

"G,

I decided to go to the gym for an early workout. Feel free to come meet me if you wake up.

I kissed her on the head before I grabbed my shoes and my workout clothes and walked out of the room. I went to the hotels gym and quickly changed into my workout clothes. I walked out of the locker room to see Ruby there working on the squat rack. I waited until she finished her set before approaching her. "Hey Ruby. Everything okay?" I asked her confused as I sat down next to her. "Oh hey Austin. Didn't expect to see you here.." She trailed off. "Well I guess we both had the same thought." I muttered. "Anxious about your match tonight?" I asked as she sighed and nodded. "When did you get here?" I asked. "About an hour and a half ago." She answered as she took a long drink of water. "Jeez Dori. It's seven in the morning. I thought I was crazy." I said as she laughed and slapped me on the arm. "Well we're in the same boat." I muttered. "Do you mind if I work out with you?" I asked as she smiled and shook her head. I did a round of stretching as she went back to the squat rack. "So. Where's Gionna?" Ruby asked as she started her reps. "Back in the room. Thankfully I was able to get out of there without waking her up." I said. "Yeah same with Sarah." Ruby said. "This is the biggest match of my career, and I can't stop thinking about it. I think I'm in over my head." Ruby muttered before putting the bar back on the rack. "Hey. You're ready for this. How many other women can say that they not only entered elimination chamber, but outlasted everyone?" I asked as Ruby smiled weakly. "Sarah and Gionna." I smiled back and nudged her. "See? Exclusive company." I said as I got finished with my stretches and took my turn doing squats. "What about you?" Ruby asked. "What's got you up so early killing yourself in the gym?" She asked. "I guess it's just the match tonight. I don't wanna worry you, but I know this is gonna be violent." I muttered. "I know Austin. And that does kinda worry me, but I also know that you can handle yourself better in a fight than anybody I've ever know. Bray has made a mistake. You are not going to be locked in that cell with Bray Wyatt. Bray Wyatt is going to be looked in that cell with you." I couldn't help but smile at that. "Thanks Ruby." I said as I put the bar back on the rack before going over to the bench press. "Spot me?" I asked her and she nodded. I put some weight on the bar before laying back on the bench. "I remember when you told me that this was the only way that you could focus before a big match. I thought you were insane. And now we're in the complete same boat." Ruby said as she helped me grab the bar and I started my reps. I chuckled. "I guess we're both complete psychopaths." I said as she laughed back. I did my set of fifteen before Ruby helped me rack the bar. We had a bit longer of a workout before deciding to call it. I walked Ruby back to her room. "Think you're going to able to sleep at all before call time?" I asked her. She chuckled. "Probably not. You?" I laughed back. "Yeah me neither. But I'll catch you later Ruby." I said as I gave her a quick hug before walking back to my room. I quickly swiped my key card and tried to open the door as quietly as I could. I slipped my shoes off and laid down right next Liv. She surprised me when she turned around and hugged me tightly. I smiled at her. "Woah. I thought you were asleep." "I was. But then I woke up and found your note. You only go to the gym this early when you're not doing well. You could've woken me up." She pouted. I smiled as I kissed her forehead. "I appreciate you worrying about me, but I'm fine baby girl. You've got one of the biggest matches of your entire life tonight. I want you to think about that okay?" I asked as I pressed my forehead against hers. She sighed and nodded. "Call time is in a few hours. Why don't we try to get a little bit more sleep before having to leave?" She nodded again and wrapped her arms around me and closed her eyes. She was asleep within a few minutes. I'm concerned that my match tonight is taken a bigger toll on her than it is me. I pulled out my phone and set an alarm for a couple hours from now. I took a deep breath and pressed my lips against her forehead before closing my eyes myself and drifting off to sleep.
