Chapter 4

Austin's POV

So I have a Royal Rumble qualifying match tonight against The Miz and it sounds like Liv will be in my corner. I don't really know why they have a heel going up against another heel yet again, but I'm not gonna question it. At least not yet. But before any of that, Liv asked to talk to me. "Austin are you happy?" I looked at her confused. "Am I happy? Of course I'm happy. I'm living the dream!" "No I mean are you happy with us. Are you happy as a member of the squad?" I nodded. "I may have wanted to be a singles wrestler when I first came to the WWE, but that was before I met you guys. I love you guys and I love being apart of the squad." She smiled brightly. "Ruby was right, you are one of us!" She said before she hugged me. "So are you gonna manage me tonight?" I asked her. She nodded. "Ruby and Sarah both have matches tonight. I'm free. Do you want me to manage you tonight?" She asked. I smiled and nodded. "You are always welcome ringside at my matches beautiful." I said as she blushed. She jumped on my back. "Onward!" She said pointing towards the gorilla. I shook my head and smiled. "Let's go baby girl." I said before walking to the gorilla. 

Miz and I were both in the ring. Just to be a dick, he had his wife go up on the apron and give him a good luck kiss. Liv jumped up on the apron and waved me over. Just to piss him off, she kissed me on the cheek. Miz got pissed and ran over before I hit him with a super kick. Liv smirked at me and blew me a kiss before hopping down. I covered Miz but he kicked out at two. I then bounced off the ropes and tried to hit him with the rolling thunder but he got out of the way and hit back first off the canvas. He then hit me with a running knee drop. He covered but I kicked out at one. He picked me up and hit me with a shin breaker. He tried to lock in the figure four but I reversed and kicked him out of the ring. I then bounced off the ropes and hit him with a suicide dive. I got him up and threw him into the ring. I got up on the apron and hit him with a springboard clothesline. I covered but he kicked out at two. I then got him up but he surprised me with an uppercut and then a dropkick to my knee. He then tried to hit me with a big roundhouse kick but I ducked and rolled him up but he kicked out at two. I then got up and tried to hit him with a jumping elbow drop but he got out of the way and I went elbow first into the canvas. He then tried to lock in the figure four again but I reversed yet again and kicked him out of the way. He missed the ropes but as he came back I hit him with a Samoan Drop. I then went out to the apron and up to the top rope as Miz got up. I then hit him with a beautiful crossbody and covered but he kicked out at two. I got him up and hit him with a brain buster and went up to the top rope yet again. I then hit him with a frog splash and covered before getting the win. As I got my hand raised, Liv jumped into my arms. "You're going to be in the Royal Rumble!" She said in my ear. I smiled at that. 

We got back in our locker room and I noticed that my phone was ringing. It was one of my best friends in the world. "Hey girls, I got a phone call I'll be right back." I said as they nodded. I walked out to the parking lot and answered. "Hey AJ. What's up?" I asked. "I just wanted to check in. I feel like it's been so long since I've talked to you." "It's been too long." I agreed. "How are things back home?" I asked her. "It's the same. We're all really proud of you Austin." "That means a lot to me. I mean you and Phil are the ones that trained me, so if I make anything out of myself, most of the credit should be passed on to you." I said. "Please. We just taught you a few moves. The rest is all you. So I got a question for you." She said. "Shoot." I said back. "What's going on with you and Liv?" She asked. "Bye AJ." I said. "Don't you dare hang up on me!" She said laughing. "Alright the truth is, I don't know yet. But I think I might have feelings for her.." I said nervously. "Aww!" She yelled into the phone. "When is the wedding?" She asked. I shook my head and chuckled. "AJ we just met a couple of weeks ago." She laughed. "Alright Austin. I know you're busy so I will let you go. We should make sure to talk more often though." "Any time AJ. Love you." She repeated my words before we hung up.

I got back to the locker room when I saw that the Squad was about ready to go. "Hey Austin. Where were you?" Sarah asked. I smiled at her. "Just catching up with an old friend. You guys ready?" I asked as they nodded. I took of my gear before changing back into my street clothes. I couldn't help but smile at how fast I'm rising in the WWE. A couple of weeks ago I debuted and beat Braun Strowman. And now, I'm going to be in the Royal Rumble match. I can't wait.
