SECRETS

Emma walked back to her parents apartment. She couldn't stop thinking about what Maleficent had said. It would explain why she kept getting that feeling. And why her superpower kept going off when they're around. She knew she had to ask but she didn't know how to bring it up. What if they really were keeping something from her. She couldn't bare the thought.
Emma knocked on the door ready to face her fear. No answer.
"Mom? Dad?" She said through the door. She knocked again. No answer. She dialed David's number and pressed talk.
Finally she got an answer.
"Hey Emma what's up?"
"Where are you guys?"
"We're...uh...hiking."
"Again? Where's Neil? " Emma had an awful feeling in her gut. Would her dad really lie to her?
"With Regina and Henry. Speaking of...Regina needs you to go get them so she can go back to the Queens of darkness."
"Ok yeah sure. But I-"
"Thanks well gotta go love you."
"Love you..." The worries started to flow through her head.
She ignored them as best as possible so she could go relieve Regina from her babysitting duties. She went into the mayors office where she knew they'd be.
"Ready to go kid?"
"Uh yeah." Emma took her brother from Regina's arms and waited for Henry to grab his things.
"How is he?" Emma asked Regina.
"Henry? He's fine. Is there something I should know?"
"Not Henry, August."
"Oh well as far as I know Gold turned him back to a boy and gave him back."
"That doesn't sound right."
"Well that's all he told me." Regina exchanged worried glances with Henry.
"Come on mom." Henry cut in. Then it sunk in. Emma realized that everyone she loved was keeping secrets from her, her parents, Henry, Regina and even Killian. The only person that told her the truth was Maleficent.
All at once the world started collapsing around her. Emma rushed out side with Henry and Neil hoping the fresh air would clear her head. She hopped into her bug and drove away.
"Henry your gonna be staying with your grandparents for a few days." She said trying to sound like a sane mother.
" Uh ok." He was confused on why his mom was suddenly acting so strange but he didn't want to question it.
When they got back to the apartment, Snow and Charming were waiting on the couch. Emma knew she should talk to them but she couldn't admit it to herself that they were keeping something from her.
"Mom, Dad I'm going out of town for a while can you watch Henry?"
"Going out of town?!? How are we supposed to handle the four of them without you?" Snow practically screamed at her daughter.
"Please, I need this. I'll be back soon I just need to clear my head."
"Are you sure you're okay? You can tell us anything." David comforted.
"I will when you do. I have to go."
They realized exactly what she meant but it was too late she was gone.
