"Piss off, Rune."

"No." Her eyes followed him as he walked around the bed and grabbed a shirt from his bedside.

"Go away," he said again.

"Come on, you have everything to gain and nothing to lose."

Regulus shook his head. "What could I possibly gain from going out with you?"

"I'll let you come out first for OWL's," she said, as she crossed her arms over her chest.

She had always wanted to beat him, but she didn't need to.

Besides, it wasn't like she needed good marks because she wasn't going to do anything with them after Hogwarts.

"I don't need you to let me do anything," he scoffed.

"I'll help you study then. I'll give you all my notes—"

Regulus frowned at her, obviously curious now. "What do you want to go out with me so badly for that you're giving up on O.W.L's.?"

She shrugged, "Maybe I like you."

"Sure," he said sarcastically. "Up until an hour ago, you were drooling over Rabastan."

"I was not!"

"Yeah, you were. What, did he reject you or something?"

She inhaled sharply. She knew it was only a matter of time before Rabastan told him, so she didn't really have another option, but to tell him.

"Promise me you won't laugh at me," she said.

"No."

She rolled her eyes. "Fine. Then promise me you won't tell anyone."

"Cross my heart," he said while sitting down on his bed and leaning back on his elbows.

Thank goodness he was wearing a shirt.

She sighed before solemnly explaining the story to him, wishing she could disappear with each passing second as his smirk grew. As the story came to an end, Regulus leaned further into the bed and had his bottom lip between his teeth to hold in his laughter.

"So... yeah..." she said, shifting from foot to foot.

"Wow!" exclaimed Regulus, tilting his head and studying her, "Rab's version was not nearly as exciting as yours."

"He already told you?" asked Rune, growing angrier if possible.

"Rab and I keep no secrets from each other."

"Then you'd know what a lying jerk he's being!" she nearly yelled in her fit of anger.

Regulus pulled at a thread on his blanket. "So, you actually like Rab then?"

"I thought I did," disclosed Rune, "But now I want nothing more than to bash his head on a slab of concrete."

"And you want to use me to make him what?" His eyes lifted to hers and he raised his eyebrows questioningly, "Jealous?"
