Varian sighed. "I'm fine. Let's just get on with this." Everyone looked at Varian. They were worried about him. Varian just wanted this be over with. He didn't want to be here but he couldn't chicken out now. He need to do this for Ruddiger and the other animals.

Another memory then faded in. A very sick looking Varian was laying in bed as he heard the sound of his front door being pounded on. So he got up and dizzily walked down stairs to the door to open it. Once it had been opened multiple disguised royal guards barged in and immediately started looking for the graphtic. "Hey! You-" Varian just interrupted by a sneeze. "You can't barge into my house and not tell me who you are or what want!! Then started searching my house!!" The captain took off helmet and looked down at Varian, who immediately noticed it was the captain. "We have orders from the king to retrieve the graphtic by any means necessary. So where is it?" The captain said this kinda calmly but you could also hear his frustration that had to even be here. Varian looked confused. "What graphtic? I don't know what you're talking about." Varian then got really dizzy and nearly fell over but was able stop himself falling. Varian leaned against a wall to make sure he didn't fall. This didn't last long however as the captain grabbed Varian by his t-shirt and lifted him off of the floor. "Kid you are going tell us where that graphtic is now or else." The captain was getting impatient with Varian. "I don't have it! I don't even what you're know talking about!!" The captain the threw Varian to the floor and then grabbed him by his hair, pulling his head up to face him. Varian had a bloody nose and had a kinda angry looking expression on his face. "Now tell me kid. Where is the Graphic?" Captain was knelt down so he could look Varian in the eyes. Other guard came into the room quickly. "Captain you may want to see this." The guard seemed worried. Varian was dragged by his hair to his lab as his legs had completely given up on him. Varian did try to pry the captain's hand off of him but had been weakened by his sickness, not that was able to fight off the guards. However he was quite abnormally strong from being a an alchemist and having to carry around large pieces of metal sometimes. Also from living in a farming town as he had to be strong enough to pick up pumpkins, sacks of potatoes and other assorted vegetables and tools.

Once they got to the lab, Varian saw that one of the guards had taken the cloth that Varian put over his dad's encased body off. The captain let go off Varian's hair and walked toward the amber. The captain looked down at Varian. "What did you do?" Varian slowly got up. "I-It was an a-accident." The captain kicked Varian in the stomach causing him to fall back on to the floor then skid across the it. "The king's gonna love to hear about this." The captain smirked and walked out of the house. The other guards then followed shortly after. Varian laid on the floor for a bit then got up. "I have to find and hide that graphtic." He then stumbled out of the room.

The memory then cut forward about a week. Varian looked at the captain, he had gotten over his illness but still looked tired and in pain. He had a black eye and two broken fingers that had been reset and had splints put on them. He had been annoying the captain for hours and wanted to see the captain get angry as he had always been known for being calm and reasonable. "You will never find that graphtic captain. You'll fail your precious king." Varian smirked. He knew he was annoying the captain and that provoking him was a horrible idea but it was funny to see the captain so angry. Varian's arm then was suddenly grabbed. Varian then tried to kick the captain's legs but another guard stopped him. Varian fought against the captain's grip but was unsuccessful. Varian's fore arm was put half on a table and half off of it. Varian struggled against the guards. He knew what was about to happen so he tried his best get away but the guards managed to keep Varian still long enough for the captain to break his forearm. Varian let out an extremely loud scream in pain and started crying. The guards let Varian go and he just fell to floor and hugged his arm tightly. The captain then looked down at him. "Now tell me where the graphtic is." Varian was stubborn and wasn't going to give that easily. "No. I will never tell you where it is! And there is nothing you can do to can stop that." The captain kicked extremely hard in the stomach and walked toward the door. "Come on men. It's late and I don't feel like wasting my time anymore." Once the captain left the room the memory faded.

Cass looked shocked and angry. "My dad wouldn't do that! Are you sure these memories are correct?" Rapunzel also looked upset. "I'm sure my dad didn't mean for this to happen when he made that order." Varian was quiet for a moment then looked at Cassandra and Rapunzel kinda angrily. "Are you two seriously going to say that your dads would never do something like this?! Because if that's what you're saying, you have face that your dads aren't perfect little angels!" Eugene looked at Varian who was looked enraged but he could tell Varian was also in a lot of pain. "Sorry Blondie but I'm siding with Varian here. You need to accept that these are memories that Varian has. If means your dad isn't as good of a person as you thought then you have to accept that." Varian was shocked Eugene was siding with him and Rapunzel was shocked that Eugene had agreed with Varian. "Why are you siding with Varian!?" Eugene looked at Rapunzel. "Because these memories are obviously true! You think Varian would purposefully show that his dad wasn't a good parent!? Why would he lie about that!?" Rapunzel and Cassandra were quiet. "That's what I thought. Now stop feeling sorry for your selfs and realise that Varian got forearm broken! Are you alright hairstripe?!" Varian looked at Eugene. "Oh yeah I'm fine don't worry about it." Varian's arm had healed but he did have a small scar where the bone broke the skin. You couldn't see it though unless you were looking as his arm was covered in bigger scars from his time in prison.
