Everyone expected Varian looked absolutely mortified by what they had just saw. Rapunzel looked like she was about to puke, Cassandra had look on her face that had it clear she was horrified and extremely angry and Eugene. Well he had look of horror and disgust that Varian had ever seen on anyone before. It was clear that this was taking an emotional toll on everyone and Varian realised that his friends would never see him the same after this. Varian knew everyone already treated differently because of his past. They stepped on egg shells around him and were more careful with what they said and did. They didn't want to give Varian a reason to be upset. Varian's thinking was then interrupted by Rapunzel giving him a hug. "I'm sorry Varian. I'm sorry I doubted you and I'm so sorry never helped you. This is all fault." Varian pulled out of the hug and then looked at Rapunzel. "Your dad's actions aren't your fault and you had no way of knowing any of this was happening. I don't blame for doubt me at first. He's your dad, you don't want to see him for the person is and that's fine. It's  not like anything can be done about it now." Varian shrugged. He didn't want anything to be done about it now. It had already had happened and no amount of yelling or talking fix that. Varian didn't really care that much about getting revenge on the king. He felt as if he had caused enough trouble for corona and the royal family already. "But Varian-" Rapunzel was cut for by a shout. " I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!! Can't see I don't care anymore!! Yes this was painful for me and I understand that your worried but I don't want you to apologise!" Varian then just looked down at floor. "I just-" Varian paused and took a deep breath. "An apology won't fix anything, but appreciate it none the less... Sorry I yelled at you. I'm just really tried of this." Eugene walked over to Varian and stood next him. "It's alright Varian. You have every right to be tired and we're not angry or upset at you."  Cass walked over as well and stood next to Rapunzel. Cass was about to say something but was cut off by the next memory.

It had been 2 weeks since Varian was last taken out of the cell, he only knew this cause Andrew had asked him if he could start counting the days which he started doing. Varian assumed that it related to the plan but didn't really know how and if he was honest he didn't really care. He wanted to be free again. He wanted revenge on the people who had treated him so poorly. "Hey kid, how many days has it been?" Andrew looked at Varian from his cot. "As of today, 15." Varian looked at Andrew from the corner. "Good." Varian was confused and about to say something but was interrupted by footsteps coming down the hallway again. Varian and Andrew waited but assumed it was just the guards delivering food. They were both suprised when Nigel and the captain were there instead. Varian looked horrified by this and Andrew looked more confused then shocked. The captain unlocked the cell door and walked in. He took the chain connected to the wall and pulled him forward. Varian looked at Andrew and Andrew nodded slightly. Varian walked forward for out the cell and was walked all the way to the room. Varian walked to the room. "Sit in the chair and put arms on the table." Varian sighed and did as he was told. Varian thought back to the that he had had with Andrew conversation last night about what he should do. '"Do everything they tell you to do willingly. Don't apologise but do what they tell." Varian looked at Andrew confused. "Why I don't want to be tortured again?!" Andrew stood up and looked down at Varian who couldn't even stand. "Just do it, okay?!" Andrew sighed. "Listen, my friends will be here in a couple of weeks. We have to be out here by then and you being obedient would make this so much easier. Just do this for your freedom."' Varian had agreed to do what Andrew wanted him to do so when the captain uncuffed him and strapped his arms down he didn't resist at all. "Now you know the question ask and I'm tired of asking-" Varian cut Nigel off. "yea I get that but I don't care. I. Am. Never. Going. To. Apologize. You can ask every day for the next year and will never apologize. So do what you want I don't care." Nigel looked annoyed at Varian and then looked at the captain and nodded. The captain then grabbed Varian's hand and broke one his fingers. The snap echoed around the room. Varian kept his composure and smirked. "Breaking my fingers isn't going to get you a different answer." Nigel then smirked. "Alright fine. Captain break his wrists." The captain then obliged and grabbed Varian's hand and arm. Another loud snap rang out through the room. Varian had tears in eyes. His wrist was broken and bleeding. It layed limp on the table in a small pool of Varian's own blood. The captain then walked to the other side of the table while Varian looked at floor as tears fell down his. The captain grabbed Varian's other wrist and with one quick movement another loud snap bounced around the walls of the room. The snap echoed in Varian mind reminding him of a long forgotten memory that Varian had buried away on purpose. Varian just continued crying, he just wanted his dad back despite the issues they had. He wanted to get out of this hell hole he had fallen into. Another loud snap echoed off the the walls. This continued until all most of Varian's fingers were broken in several places and both his hands were bloody and bruised. Varian looked at his hands and immediately passed out from the sheer amount of blood.

Varian woke up in his cot. He had splints on his fingers and wrist and bandages all over his hands. One thing immediately noticed however was at he wasn't chain to wall or cuffed at all. He looked towards Andrew's cot but was asleep already so Varian just went back to sleep. He  enjoyed the significantly more comfortable cot.

Everyone gave Varian a worried look. He just shrugged. "It's the last proper prison memory so don't worry but after we have a lot more go though." Varian looked behind him to where the lady was stand and glared at her. "Don't we?" The lady smiled and stepped forward. "Indeed we do though I'll be skipping some less important one's like your daring escape from prison after all you were quite happy about that, despite certain ... consequences." Varian looked at the lady. He has weary and annoyed. He hate the fact that she was talking down to him but he knew it wasn't good to pick fights with people who have magic so he said nothing. "Oh calm down they'll still see those consequences. They'll probably see you suffered more then they ever thought you had." With that she disappeared leaving Varian with his now very confused friends.
