"Wingman Formations!" Hiccup called as the riders all flew towards the approaching ships. Hiccup partnered with Astrid, Heather with Fishlegs, and Snotlout with the twins. Nuffink took the position of Zephyr's wingman. "Toothless, warning shot!" The Night Fury shot a plasma blast into the water, rocking the ship.

"Okay girl..." Zeph whispered to her dragon. "Time to disappear."

"Ready, Bud?" Nuff checked with Pouncer. The Haddock children shared a nod.

"Dart. Pouncer. Cloak!" Zeph commanded. The Night Lights both shot a plasma blast into their path and as they passed through the blast, they disappeared into thin air.

"Woah!" The twins gazed in awe.

"Where did they go?" Fishlegs pondered on the thought.

"We can't worry about that now." Hiccup explained. "We have a ship to sink."

"Focus all fire on the Night Fury," Viggo ordered his men.

The hunters all gathered on the starboard side and aimed every crossbow and catapult at Hiccup and Toothless.

"Look out!" Zephyr called as a plasma blast flew in from the stern of the ship. And another from the bow as both Night Lights came back into view.

"Night Furies?" Ryker muttered.

"Surprise!" Nuffink yelled.

"That's not possible!" Viggo growled. "Take them all!"

"We could really use Ruffrunner right about now?" Nuffink thought.

"Who?" Hiccup wondered.

"The third Night Light. Their brother." Zeph explained simply. "We may not need him. Hiccup, fly above the ship." She suggested.

"Woah, hold on a minute..." Hiccup halted.

"Look, I know you don't know me, and have absolutely no reason to but please, trust me." She glanced at him with her big blue eyes. Eye's that looked all too familiar and he couldn't help but melt under their gaze. He let out a sigh and nodded. "When I give the signal, aim for the base of the mast."

"Got it." Hiccup and Toothless flew directly above the ship, just out of arrow range. Zephyr flew to one side while Nuffink flew to the opposite side.

"Now!" All three Furies blasted simultaneously, before hitting the ship the purple lights all joined together, causing one humungous explosion. Nuff narrowly escaped. Zephyr got thrown back towards the island, falling from her dragon and landing a little too hard. Nuff quickly noticed Hiccup and Toothless losing altitude. Pouncer swooped in and caught Toothless in his clutches and carried him back to the safety of Dragon's Edge.

"Zeph!" Nuff darted towards his sister and helped her off the ground.

"I'm okay. It's just a sprain." She insisted, rubbing her swollen wrist.

"Hiccup!" Astrid shrieked, racing to check on him. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm okay." He assured. "You okay, Bud?" He turned his attention to Toothless, who lifted his tail to show the charred remains of his prosthetic. "I've really gotta work on making that tail fireproof."

"I can help with that," Zeph announced.

"Not like that you can't." Nuffink scowled.

"I'm fine, Nuff." She rolled her eyes at her overprotective brother, shaking her hand off. "Don't make a fuss."

"He's right." Hiccup agreed. "You should really let me check that out."

"It's fine. I can handle it. I've had worse."

"I told you. You can't tell me she doesn't remind you of Astrid." Snotlout argued.

"Zephyr Rose, I promised Dad I would take care of you, and you're not making it easy." Nuffink scowled.

"He's right. Let Hiccup take a look, just to be sure." Astrid suggested.

Zephyr let out a sigh. She had lost. Her father was easy to persuade. She was his little girl. And since the day she was born he had been wrapped around her finger. She knew that she could just flutter her eyes at him or pout in the adorable way her mother used to do and he would melt in her arms. Her mother was a completely different story. When her mother told her no. It meant no. When she asked her to do something. She wasn't asking. Zephyr nodded hesitantly.

"Just stay still." Hiccup advised as he wrapped a bandage around Zephyr's wrist.

"Sorry." She winced, clearly trying to hide the pain.

"Don't be sorry." He smiled at her.

"Hiccup... I have to ask you something."

"Sure."

"You don't even know me. But, you trusted me. Why?" She wondered.

"Are you saying that trusting you was the wrong decision?" Hiccup thought.

"No. But, we could have been anybody. And you let us help you, with barely a second thought. So, why?"

"I don't know." He fibbed, avoiding eye contact.

"Liar."

"W-what?"

"You looked away. People avoid eye contact when they're lying. It's a quirky habit. My father has it too." The young brunette clarified. "So, I'll ask again. Why?"

"Your eyes." Hiccup admitted. "It sounds stupid. But, you remind me of someone. I could never say no to her either."

"Astrid?"

"What? N-No..." He stuttered.

"You're doing it again." Zeph notified him. "Look me in the eyes and try again."

"Is it that obvious?" He worried.

"That you're head over heels in love with her? Yeah." She confirmed. "And she loves you too."

"Okay, now you're just being ridiculous."

"Okay, okay. Don't believe me that's fine." Zeph chuckled. "You'll figure it out for yourself soon enough."

"Oh, is that a fact?"

"Oh, that's a fact." She confirmed with a giggle. "It'll happen when you least expect it... And it's gonna be the perfect moment."

"You some kind of psychic?" Hiccup snickered.

"Nope, just a hunch." She smirked knowingly. "Now about that tail..."
