when they finally reached taehyung's apartment, it was about 4 in the morning. taehyung knew that yoongi would probably be worried but that wasn't what was worrying his mind right now. all he could focus on was how jungkook ignored him. they didn't talk for the whole ride there and when taehyung got off the bike, the younger didn't spare him a glance as he got the helmet back.

but taehyung didn't let him leave, "are you okay?"

jungkook looked at him then and taehyung would be lying if he said his gaze didn't make his legs weak, "why wouldn't i be?"

"i don't know." taehyung rubbed his right arm with his left hand awkwardly, feeling shy now, "you just... you got quiet all of a sudden. after we... you know"

"we made out?" jungkook asked with a scoff and taehyung looked at the younger. he was so much more different than the jungkook who was talking to him on that bridge. then then jungkook who was kissing him softly. "you really think that meant anything? we just kissed so why are you acting like it meant anything?"

ouch.

taehyung's chest hurt a little at that but he would never let jungkook know that, "then why are you so quiet then? shouldn't i be asking if it meant anything to you?"

"it didn't." jungkook told taehyung and his heart broke a little, "i was only quiet cause there wasn't anything i wanted to talk about. honestly, i wished hyung didn't call you so we could finish what we started."

taehyung crossed his arms this time and glared at the younger, "i'm not your fucking slut, jeon."

jungkook laughed and the older wanted so badly to punch him in the face.

"whatever. i can't believe i got you with the whole vulnerable side." jungkook laughed and taehyung clenched his fists, "see you around, babe."

with that, the younger drove the bike away leaving taehyung in front of the apartment complex. the artist yelled after him, "fuck you!"

he walked inside of his building and headed back to his apartment. opening the door with his key, he went inside and took his shoes off. he took the jacket that jungkook lent him since he got cold and took it off feeling dumb for thinking that that whole thing meant anything.

he sighed, "what a fucking idiot..."

taehyung closed his eyes. he didn't like it but he knew that he did have a crush on jungkook. that he did have feelings for him and he knew that it would only cause him another heartbreak. he's already been used so many times and now jungkook is just another person on that list.

"what were you doing out so late?"

taehyung jumped at the voice and turned around to see yoongi sitting on the couch with a book in his hands. the older looked at him waiting for an answer but taehyung just scratched the back of his neck, "i needed a break. that date i went on didn't turn out so well..."

"what about the date with kook?" yoongi asked and taehyung's eyes widened, "how did you know i was out with him?"

yoongi's eyebrows furrowed, "so it was a date?"

"what? no, it wasn't!" taehyung immediately said, "it was just... i don't know, okay? he just saved me from yugyeom."

"what do you mean saved? what did he do? did he touch you?" he could tell that yoongi was getting visibly worried.

he sighed, "i'm fine... he was just being pushy and well jungkook stepped in and stopped him."

"he did that?" yoongi asked sitting up now and taehyung nodded, still looking down at his feet.

it was quiet and yoongi didn't really know what to say. he saw taehyung and the way he lips were swollen. he saw the younger holding jungkook's cliche leather jacket in his arms and he sighed. jungkook never acted like this, but he did and it was with taehyung.

"it's late... you should get washed up and go to bed." yoongi said with a softer voice and walked down the hallway, not staying to hear taehyung's voice.
