Mystery?

"What the hell was that?" Katsuki ask out loud in his cave, but got no answer in return. He quickly pulled all the things he found near the cliff out of the bag and on the ground. He counted all the things he got to know if he had enough supplies for a few days, but he only had enough for at least one day.

Katsuki curse out loud about not having enough of supplies for his store and knows he has to get more, but he doesn't want to with that thing out an about in the wide ocean. He knows other places he could go to get more supplies but they weren't good material as the others. He was totally screwed now.

"Why is there such a thing like that in the ocean," katsuki said as he swam around in his cave thinking of a plan. He just have to make a plan on how he will get those supplies he needs, but make sure that he and the thing don't see each other or he'll be dead.

Katsuki let out a sigh as he regather his things in the bag and started to swim out his cave. He made sure his cave was safe and sound before he left for his shop in the village. He never wants strangers coming into his house stealing his prize possession of what he has left to remind of his parents.

As he double check his house another time he left quickly as he made his way towards the village. As he swam towards the village he saw Hanata finally coming out of his cave as he yawn tiredly swimming away from his cave. Katsuki chuckles as he swam towards Hanata.

"Good morning Hanata." Katsuki said as he watch his friend yawn one last time as he smiled at him.

"Morning Katsuki how was your search for the day?" Hanata said as he cracked his knuckle.

Katsuki stilled his movements as he remembered what he saw just a while ago. Hanata gave Katsuki a look that he usually give him when he wants to know what is causing him trouble.

"Ahh.... Some guppies threw sea slugs at me this morning before I made it to the place that I usually go to for my supplies." Katsuki said as he look to see if Hanata bought the semi truth, only to see Hanata let some chuckles out.

"Oh man that got be funny. I can just imagine the looks the little guppies casted once they saw it was you, but hey let me guess you let them off the hook since you mister grumpy lion fish have a soft spot for little guppies." Hanata said as he smirk at Katsuki to see if he was right and saw how Katsuki pouted at him, he knew he was right.

"Well my friend it was nice to see you again, but I am off to see if I can get Mina alone with me for a bit." Hanata said as he swam off in search for Mina.

Katsuki smirk knowing that Hanata has a crush on Mina and has been spending a lot of time with her. When will he get the courage to give Mina something  and see if she wanted to start the courtship with him. Katsuki wants to know because he is betting on him with Denki. He bet that Hanata will ask Mina out first and Denki bet that Mina will Hanata out first. He needs to win because the challenge Denki choose for him if he lost the bet is really embarrassing, so he has to win.

After thinking about the bet Katsuki resume his swim to his shop and once he got there he open it up. The shop was busy at the beginning but towards the end it was very slow, and Katsuki was grateful for that because that gave him time to make things.

The light in the ocean started to dim down and had cause all of the mers to retreat to their homes.

Katsuki closed up his store and started making his way back to his cave. Once there he emptied out his bag and put all of his belongings next to his nest. With that he exited out of his cave and started swimming towards the cliff.

His plan was simple get to the cliff collect a bunch of things and an eye out on that tail he saw earlier, and if he does he will be able to escape from there easily. He hopes that thing is not there once he get there.

After a long time he finally made it to the cliff. He quickly and quietly swam toward the edge of the cliff and looked down. So far he saw corals, reefs, and kelp down there, but most importantly no tail. So he got to business collecting things and putting them in his bag. He always made sure to check over the cliff once in a while.

When he had thought he had gotten everything he needed check over the cliff for the tenth time that night. He saw the most beautiful shell he has ever saw. It was entirely bright crimson red with black and orange spots spotted all over the shell. He knew, no needed that shell for his collection.

He knows he will break more rules going after that shell, but hey rules never existed for Katsuki. So he quickly swam down the cliff towards the shell.

Once he was in arms reach he quickly snatched the shell and put it in his bag. He turn around to swim up the cliff only to hear a sound.

He slowly turn around towards where he heard the sound and saw the tail. Katsuki quickly backs up until his back hits the rock cliff. He saw how the tail moved through the water only to disappear.

Katsuki let out a breath and turn to the side to only see.

A huge pair of crimson eyes watching him.

Katsuki swam backwards as fast as he could and turn to continue swimming away from that thing.

To only hit his head hard against something to cause him to block out, but before he passed out he saw the
thing swam towards and reach for him. And that was the last thing he saw before passing out.
