Freedom

It had been a hour since Katsuki had left the safety from his old pod. He has no protection, no pod, no friends, and no family with him now. This is his first time out in the wide vast ocean where danger lurks since what had happen to Izuku's father.

He hates being out here with no one around him, he would be okay if a stranger was keeping him company. One problem for him is that he gets scare  when he's by himself away from his home after that shark attack. It has scarred him that day and he would always look around him to see if that shark would come after him again. So that's why he hadn't left the pod and always stayed in the safety the pod had created.

But now he was out here in open ocean where danger lurks because of stupid Deku. He would admit that Deku did grew up and became handsome, but he left him when he needed him the most. But no Deku wanted to get stronger so he left the pod and train with other mer shark creatures that had come to the pod one day to get supply. The leader of the group full of sharks knew Deku's dad and agreed to take him and train him as he grew.

Then he came back to the pod after twelve years to see what he would be classified and once he learn he would be a protector he had the guts to ask him. HIM if he wanted to court, that had cause anger to flow through his blood as he remembered that Deku left him for his 'dream'. He attack him and didn't regret it.

Well few minutes later he regretted attacking Deku because he was exiled from the pod. So yeah maybe he shouldn't attack him but that did make him feel better to get rid of some the anger he held against Deku, some of the anger.

Oh well he's out here now and can't take it back. He just need to find a new pod that would let him join and would protect him.

He kept swimming through the open ocean always looking if there was sharks around.

He swam for hours until it was dark out and that was when sharks come out to hunt on the prey. He quickly tried to find a cave for him to stay for the night.

It took him a couple of minutes but he found a nice cave that was small but was hidden very well that no one could find it.

He swam inside and found a place to set his things so he set his things gently down on the sand covered cave and settle down next to his belongings.

He closed his eyes as he listens to the soft sound from the swaying kelp as it helps him to doze off into the world of dreams.

Light shine through the opening of the cave and had cause Katsuki to wake up. He stretched his body and got up to grab his belongings and swam out of ten cave to the ocean again.

He set off once again into the wide open ocean watching his surroundings. He had swim for an hour before his stomach started to grumble telling him he needed to eat something to have energetic for him to keep swimming. So he search around the area he was in to find some small fish to eat to help settle down his grumbling stomach.

Though his search would come to an end because he found himself a small school of fish. So he quietly put his belongings down and swam towards them but made sure he was stealthy as he crept his way towards them.

Once he was a a couple feet away from the fishes he waited for the right moment and when the time came he jumped out swam to them to kill a few. But he couldn't kill any because some creature came out at the same time he did and scared the fish away.

Katsuki growled at the intruder but stop once he saw it was a mer creature, but a mer shark.

The mer shark smiled at him and waved his hand as he swam towards him.

"Sorry about that I didn't know you were after those fishes as well my apologies." The mer shark said and that was when Katsuki took a good look at him. The mer shark had black hair that goes to his shoulders with weird arms and notice that the mer shark was a male. A male protector around his age he guess.

"It's fine." Katsuki said and then turn around and swam towards his belongings to pick them up and keep swimming until he found another place that has a school of fish.

Though as he swam he noticed the mer shark swam behind he got irritated and turn around to face him.

"What is it that you want now!?" Katsuki asked as he saw the mer shark chuckle a little from being found out of flowing Katsuki.

"Well I wanted to know if you wanted to go to my pod so I can get you something to eat before you head on out." The mer shark said as he waited for Katsuki answer.

Katsuki couldn't believe what the mer shark said. A pod around here? Will they accept him or cast him aside?

"Does your pod accept other mer creatures like me?" Katsuki asked and saw the mer shark nod his head. Relief cast over him knowing that he would have a pod again to live in and be protected.

"Are you pod less?" The mer shark asked and saw Katsuki nod his head. "Well then follow me and I can get you to the pod leader so you can speak to her to know the rules and get your self a home." The mer shark said and Katsuki nodded his head again.

So now the both swam towards the mer shark pod to which during the swam Katsuki found out there mer shark name is Hanata Sero. Once they had gotten to where the pod was located Katsuki couldn't believe such a beautiful place like this existed. Colorful reefs  surrounds the entire place with beautiful rocks decorating stores and homes. He saw little mer creatures playing with each other as their mother talk to each other.

He was lead to the leader and saw that she was a lion fish just like him and that her name was midnight. He explain everything to her and found out that she was proud of him for doing that and told him that this is his new home.

So Katsuki had found a place that welcomes him with open arms and beloved that he did a good thing towards Deku and he never have to leave a pod again.
