After walking for a few more hours, Maya and I made it to a portal at the edge of the kingdom.
Just then, someone stepped through.

She was tall. She had long red hair that was tied up in two ponytails. She was holding a glowing pen. She laughed in the most evil way.

"You're missing someone," She said. "Oops, my bad." She giggled again.

"Who are you?" Maya asked the tall girl. She balled up her hand into a fist. She held back tears. I knew how much Luna meant to her. She needed her revenge as soon as she could get it.

"My name is Eliza. I am the one who controls your world. Your lives! I am the one you thought to look for when the ink started running out." She laughed.

"What do you mean the ink is running out? Is that some sort of riddle?" I asked.

"No you stupid pawn! It means your stories, your world, will end till someone picks the story back up and reads it! As soon as someone reads your story again, you will be forced to replay your lives over, and over again! It's funny actually. I've never met my own characters." She said.

It started to get windy and the portal started swirling faster.

"Well how do we end the story forever?" I asked out of curiosity.

Eliza gasped. "Why would you want to do that? You would never see the ones you love again! You would never save the day again!"

"I don't want to save the day anymore!" I started to cry. "I'm so sick of taking care of everyone and everything else! I want to choose my actions! I've had so much built up anger since this whole problem started that I don't even know if I want to help fix it!"

Eliza and Maya gasped.

"Then do it." Eliza calmly said. "Do it and be remembered as a villain and not the hero you were created to be." She held out her hand revealing a dimly glowing pen. "All you have to do is break it."

I snatched from her and stared at it.

"Thalia, think about this. You always know how to fix everything!" Maya said.

"But I don't Maya! When I was controlled by this stupid pen I knew what to do! I'm so sick of having a path I didn't choose!" I exclaimed.

I held the pen in two hands and snapped it half. The pen set a glowing light into the air as everything started turning to black dust. Eliza stepped back through the portal.

"I hope this ends well." She said over her shoulder. The portal then disappeared as soon as she did.

Maya stared at me with tears in her eyes as she faded away. Everything around me was gone. The trees, the grass the clouds, the life. All gone. I laughed out to the wind. This terrible controlled world was gone. I looked down at me feet and saw that they started to turn to dust. I closed my eyes faded away painlessly with a pleased grin on my face.
