"Do you think this will affect anything?" Pidge asked worriedly.
"It affected who they fell for, who knows what else it could affect?" Lance said anxiously.
"Okay, okay. Lance, you said that there's a storm at the end of the movie that we can ride out of here on." Pidge bent down to where Lance was sitting backwards on a chair.
"Yeah, three days after they meet." Lance nodded.
Pidge stood up, bringing Lance with her. "I'm gonna ask you something, even though I know, and I know you know, I don't wanna know. Is there anything that happens in the next three days that could affect that storm?"
Lance thought about it for a moment, before his eyes widened and he grabbed Pidge's arm, pulling her away.
"See, didn't wanna know!" Pidge groaned.
...
"If you're looking for this to make sense, you're on the wrong beach." Pidge said to Lance as they ran side by side down the shore.
"I'm looking to see if Zarkon is building his diabolical weather machine." He responded.
"How often do you hear that sentence?" Pidge mumbled to herself.
"Remember? I told you about the maniacal real estate developer?"
"Or that one!"
"Zarkon knows this beachfront property will be gold someday. So he tells Big Momma to sell it to him so he can build an overpriced resort. She says no." Lance explained.
"Of course she does, or there would be no movie." Pidge grumbled.
"It gets better."
"I can't wait." Pidge stopped suddenly, panting. "Let's just stop right here."
The two of them looked up to see a lighthouse off in the distance, transmitting a bunch of energy.
"No way! That's Zarkon's hideout!" Lance said excitedly. "Let's go, come on!" He took off again, leaving Pidge to groan and run after him.
...
"This is it!" Lance ran up to the doors.
"How do we get in?" Pidge asked.
Lance winked at her, and bent down to the "Not Welcome" mat. He pulled it aside, and there was a cartoonishly large key underneath. "Boom." He smirked.
Pidge rolled her eyes all the way to the back of her head, and gestured for him to get a move on.
Lance unlocked the door, and they made their way through wires as they listened to the villains above them.
"You know, I've dreamed of a scheme like this ever since I were a mere lad, conning my school fellows out of their lunch money."
"Lunch? How about takeout?"
Lance and Pidge peeked out from behind a curtain. "That's him!" Lance whispered. He's all British and proper, but he's from Pittsburg." Zarkon was a tall and imposing man, with purple skin and yellow eyes.
"Wait, who is that with him?" Pidge pointed to his accomplice, a lady with the same purple skin, and long white hair, who was quite hunched over. "And what are they building?"
"Desperate to get Big Momma's, Zarkon includes his wife, a mad scientist, Haggar, in the scheme to carry out his idea." Lance explained softly. Pidge had a look of disgust and confusion on her face.
"Come on, come on." Lance pulled Pidge over to a different spot, where Pidge asked once again, "What is that?"
She was talking about a spinning machine with a magnet on top, omitting flashing zigzag lights.
