💣CHAPTER 29💣

Troy was strapping his thigh holster around his thigh as he put a pistol on either side in each pocket before putting his vest on as he turned his head to face the direction of the redhead he admired with a soft smile before it turned into a smirk, "Well don't you look absolutely beautiful." He teased as Natasha was making sure the disguise worked as she used a photostatic veil to become Hawley as she also had to dress the part.

Natasha turned around as she shut off the disguise again and gave a pointed look but was finding it hard to fight off a small smile as she shook her head, "Shut up." Natasha said making Troy chuckle Natasha walked up to Troy and became serious, "Stay safe for me, yeah?"

"I'll try my best for you." Troy softly spoke as he kissed her forehead, "Only if you do the same."

"I'll try my best." Natasha whispered before reaching up and kissing him softly on the lips which Troy reciprocated before parting, "You better get to Cap before he leaves without you." Natasha warned him as he rolled his eyes playfully.

"Yes ma'am." Troy kissed her again before turning and walking to exit but Natasha's quick call of his name before he could exit got his attention as he turned back to her, "Yeah?"

"See you in a minute?" Natasha smirked but her eyes spoke without humour but more of a question to reassure herself that he will be okay without her.

Troy nods with a small smile, "See you in a minute." Troy confirmed before he walked off.

Steve had gotten the appropriate suit for the job and Sam had his suit as the two, Troy and Hill rushed into the Triskelion and to a control room.

The control room door opened just as they came to it and a tech agent was faced with the four of them. Sam, Hill and Troy quickly pointed their guns at him.

"Excuse us," Steve said as politely as possible considering the tech guy had guns pointed at him and the situation was dire. Troy, however, internally rolled his eyes at how polite Steve can still be in a mission like this. But then again, Troy respected him for always being the person he was. The tech guy held his hands up and stepped aside, allowing the four to enter the room as Steve went straight over to the radio that allows all of the people in the Triskelion to hear what he has to say over the microphones, more specifically Pierce and the undercover Hydra Agents, "Attention, all SHIELD agents. This is Steve Rogers. You've heard a lot about me over the last few days, some of you were even ordered to hunt me and Troy Kemp down. But I think it's time you know the truth. SHIELD is not what we thought it was, it's been taken over by HYDRA. Alexander Pierce is their leader. The STRIKE and Insight crew are HYDRA as well. I don't know how many more, but I know they're in the building. They could be standing right next to you. They almost have what they want: absolute control. They shot Nick Fury and it won't end there. If you launch those Helicarriers today HYDRA will be able to kill anyone that stands in their way, unless we stop them. I know I'm asking a lot, but the price of freedom is high, it always has been, and it's a price I'm willing to pay. And if I'm the only one, then so be it. But I'm willing to bet I'm not."

Steve finished his speech and turned to face the other three and Troy side glanced at Sam knowing he was going to comment something and he didn't have to wait long for that to happen, "Did you write that down first, or was it off the top of your head?" 

Troy snorted which earned him weird looks at the noise that just came out of him as he shrugged at the looks he was getting, "What?.." The three just silently looked at him before Sam let snickered at him with Steve doing the same and Hill smiled, "Okay. I snorted. Ha, ha. It's very funny isn't it y'know 'cause I'm laughing, ha, ha." Troy said sarcastically as he rolled his eyes.

His two best friends let out a couple more snickers before Steve became serious again made sure Maria was going to be alright where she was before he signalled for Sam and Troy to follow him, which they did as Sam let out one last joke at Troy. 

Sam let out a few snorts before making his voice squeakier as if he was trying to imitate a girl, "I'm Peppa Pig."

"Sam, I swear on all the Gods, if you don't shut up I'm going to take those wings and shove them so far up your-"

Steve cut Troy off before he could finish what he was going to say, "Language."

The trio of heroes had made their way to the Helicarriers, not having come across any HYDRA agents as of yet as Sam spoke, "Hey. How do we know the good guys from the bad guys?"

"Sam if you use your birdbrain, you would know the good guys wouldn't shoot at us and the bad guy will," Troy answered. Sam didn't answer as he flew away in his Falcon suit and Troy kept in line with Steve as they headed down with HYDRA agents now starting to shoot at them. Sam flew around, avoiding getting shot and Troy got a gun from his holster and shot a couple of agents, not missing his target.

"I found those bad guys you were talking about, Kemp," Sam said over their radio communication.

"You okay?" Steve asked.

Sam took a second to answer, most likely because he was dodging bullets, "I'm not dead yet."

Steve and Troy try and fight past the HYDRA agents to get inside the Helicarrier as Maria Hill's voice can be heard over their radio, "Eight minutes, Cap, Kemp."

"We're working on it," Steve replied as Troy kept shooting and using any means necessary to get inside the Helicarrier.

Steve and Troy had managed to get into the Helicarrier Alpha and to the control centre as Steve put the chip in, "Alpha locked." Troy said over the comm.

"Falcon, Where are you now?" Maria asked Sam.

"I had to take a detour!.... Oh, yeah!.. I'm in. Bravo locked."

"Two down, one to go."

"Charlie Carrier's forty-five degrees off the port bow." Maria confirmed over the comm before a couple of gunshots went off, "Six minutes."

Steve and Troy were working in the sink, Steve sometimes throwing his shield over to Troy to use before he would throw it back and agent after agent went down but it didn't stop all of them as they kept shooting at the two soldiers.

"Sam, we're gonna need a ride," Troy announced over the comm to Sam.

"Roger! Let me know when you're ready." Sam replied before Steve and Troy rushed over the edge of the carrier and jumped off the carrier together before a missile could be shot at them.

"We just did!" Steve said as Sam flies in just in time to catch the both of them and fly them onto the last carrier.

"You know, the two of you are a lot heavier than you look," Sam commented.

"We had a big breakfast." Steve joked before the Winter Soldier suddenly appeared and pushed Steve off the edge.

"Steve!" Sam and Troy shouted at the same time before Sam goes flying off and helps Steve but the Winter Soldier grabs one of his wings and throws him back. Troy rushed over to Steve with the Winter Soldier occupied and yanked Steve up as fast as he could with the strength he had considering he was lifting a super-soldier. As Steve stood, he silently thanked Troy with a nod who only nodded back before Troy reassured Sam over the command searched for him.

"Steve's with me! We're still on the carrier. Where are you? You okay?" Troy asked, slightly concerned for his friend since he had gone up against the Bucky.

"I'm grounded, the suit's down. Sorry, guys." Sam apologised with guilt in his voice.

"Don't worry, we got it," Steve reassured Sam, knowing he couldn't do much more with his wings broken.
