i often cannot
decide between
"hello" and "goodbye".
for "goodbye"
is like the
evening star
that leads
travellers far,
and "hello"
is like morning dew
- greets you well
and eventually
bids you adieu.
so perhaps we leave
greetings and farewells,
and replace them
with an embrace...
or two.
that way i know
i'll find my way
back
to
you.
