"Brace yerself lassie." Warned John Silver to the wandering pup on the main deck. She obviously didn't hear him say a word and was way too busy looking at the beautiful sky and exploring the ship. He warned her once more just to be ignored again. Frustrated, he started the ship and it started to rise and in a flash took extremely fast, even he, the captain wasn't prepared. He stumbled back a bit before catching himself and he stood up as he got used to the speed and slowed the ship down. By this time the wolf had fallen. He looked around for the girl, who he saw was upside down with her back to the wall below him. He put the ship in auto-pilot and made his way down the creaking steps while laughing,"I tried ta tell ye lass!" You could hear his jerky grin in his words. The ship fell silent and the wolf was still in the same position looking traumatized. He rubbed the back of his neck and helped her up,"didn't bounce back from t'at one, eh?" He chuckled. He took his hands off the girl and went down to the galley. She shook like a wet dog and followed him down the steps. Silver was already unloading the tools and food into drawers and barrels. He swished away the webs in the corners when he felt eyes on him. He didn't acknowledge who was observing him at all instead he grabbed a huge stew bowl and placed it on a table. Finally, he looked at the girl,"what type er' food ye like, pup? I know ye kind are fond o' meat and I jus' so' happen to 'ave plenty on board." She shrugged. "He looked over her to see if he could read her mind, her tail wagged a little while she thought. "Surprise ya?" He asked setting up the kitchen. "T'ats' fine," she replied, not knowing she just mimicked his way of speaking. He smiled,"Why don't cha' 'ave a seat lassie?" She looked around and pulled a chair towards her and sat down at a small table. He smiled again and started his cooking,"eeehh.." He rubbed the back of his neck and down to his chin trying to find something to add to the dry conversation. "So lass...yer name?" He said turning only his head towards her then back around while he chopped up some fresh meat. "Hm?" She tilted her head. "Yer name?," He glanced back at her, Silver became annoyed at the girl for ignoring him again,"what is yer name, lass?" "Oh", she looked down and started playing with her hands,"I dunno." He stopped chopping the meat and scraped it into the pot and while it boiled he turned and leaned onto a cabinet,"Lass, 'ow can ye not know yer name?" She shrugged. "eh...ye sure you don't 'ave one?" He asked once more,"not t'even a nickname ye gave yerself?" She looked at him then back down,"no, I never really had a name and I'm always to busy running to give myself one." She threw one hand in the air,"Plus..i don't really have any good names I can even think of." She rested her head on her hand and then pulled her hair out of her face. "Awe." Silver turned back to his cooking, he added the rest of the seasoning and tasted it then grabbed a bowl of the stew and a spoon and gave it to the girl. He always cooks rather fast for an old man like himself. "Always t'ought my cookin' was a way to get anyone to talk." He grinned and waited for the girl to try his stew that he was so proud of. He pulled out a chair and sat on the other side of the table and put his head in his hands. She looked at his glowing yellow cyborg eye that she didn't even notice before. With a small tail wag and grin she tried the stew. Her eyes widened and her small tail wag turned into a big one,"holy- this is so good!" she quickly finished her food like a feral wolf. Silver saw how fast her tail was going and blushed,"I haven't cooked n' a while now, I must've not lost me touch, heh." He noticed his coat was still on,"ah- don't want to stain me only coat." He said getting up from his chair. She perked her ears up and watched him slip off his coat to reveal his cyborg side, the sound gears whirring made her ears go all crazy trying to hear each individual sound and trying to make out what it was. The cyborg hung up his coat and hat then took away her empty bowl and smiled at her when he saw her eyes on him. He threw the empty bowl in the sink. The screeching sound of the bowl hitting the sink hurt the pups ears and the pinned them back. "Oh- sorry bout t'at pup! Fergot ears like yer's were sens' tive" He patted her. "Pup...... is that my name?" "Hm?...oh. Uh...if ye want it ta be...but are ye sure ye want me to name ya?" He raised his eyebrows with the last few words. "Yes sir. I'm going to be on this ship for the rest of my life, probably." Silver placed his organic hand on his stomach and made a playful pointing gesture towards pup with his cyborg arm,"alright 'pup', but I ain't havin' no yes sirs' only aye captin's!" He joked closing his metal eye and shaping his metal finger like a hook. Pup giggled at him,"aye captin'!" She mimicked his voice and pose. Silver laughed,"ye larn' fast!" He patted Pup's head and let his hand rest there for a while to rub her head. She looked up at him with her eyes half shut and she let out a big yawn as her ears began to drop down. "Awe....ye be tired, eh?" She nodded and he walked around the table and picked up the girl with ease she was light as a feather to him. He stepped up the stairs and out of the galley. He opened the door to his, and the only, cabin. "Here ye go lass, I'm goin' ta be up, lookin' after te ship." He layed her down on the bed and pulled a thin blanket over her and tucked her in. She stretched out and yawned then fell asleep instantly. Silver looked at her and rubbed the back of his neck and gave a soft smile then turned around and walked out of the cabin, shutting the door behind him.
