[Chapter 4] Mornin' Sunshine!

The wind was calm as the sun rose above the Hawkins. The morning sun made the wooden deck glow a cherry red and the shadows started to shift. It was a beautiful day.
When the warm glow of the sun covered her eyes, pup awakened. She had expected to wake up to where she made camp back on Crescentia, instead she saw the soft glow of the sun on the cabin's walls. She was confused for a moment but soon, all her memories of yesterday flooded back into her mind, the chase, and the man who saved her, who was none other than John Silver, the pirate. She also remembered that he let her board his boat and she was now sailing across the galaxy with her idol. She admired him with almost every bone fiber in her body it seemed like. It didn't even feel real that she was actually there with him. A sudden large shift on the bed made her return back into reality. She realized the bed was being weighed down behind her, so she sat up to see what it was. "Silver?" She whispered to herself. He must have gotten tired watching over the ship and went to bed. It felt weird that he was in bed with her so she stood up and stretch-walked her way over to the door. She stepped out of the cabin the sun on the deck warmed her paw pads as she walked over to the egde. She looked over at the flying rays below the ship and smiled. "Its so beautiful." The looked at the skies and closed her dusty blue eyes as she felt the warm rays of the sun caress her and as the wind blew through her hair. "Enjoyin' yer self, pup?" Pup turned around to see Silver standing 5 ft away from her. "Sorry lass, didn't mean ta startle ya." Silver gave a soft smile and walked up to her. He stood beside her and placed his arms on the side of the ship and shut his eyes for a moment, feeling the sun. Pup turned back around to look out and rested her head in her hands. "Beautiful in'tit?" He said only opening his real eye with his fake one still shut. "Aye captin'." Silver could hear the smile in her words. He patted her on the shoulder then pulled his hand away. "Yer welcome to rest t'day instead of workin'." Silver stood back up straight. Pup nodded then shook her head,"I want to start learning today!" She stood up straight like him with a stiff tail. Silver gave her a shit-eating grin,"heh, yer gonna regret that." and walked away. Confused, she watched him walk away into a storage room, she stayed where she was and waited for him to return. He returned with a bucket and mop,"I'm sure ye know how ta clean a deck at least." He said throwing the mop and bucket at her. She caught them both and groaned,"I meant real learning!" She stomped. Silver gave her a dirty look and raised and eyebrow,"now what'd I say bout wailin' ?" Pup looked at him mean," I want to know how to sail!" Silver crossed his arms and clenched his jaw,"Now lass, I ain't be havin' no attitude towards he captin'!" He unclenched his jaw and softened his face,"te first thing ye need ta know is how ta manage eh' ship." Finally she gave in and started mopping the deck. He smiled,"t'ad be a good lass." He joked and patted her. She tried to hide her smile but her wagging tail gave her away. Silver decided to stay quiet about it to save her the embarrassment, and walked away to the steps that lead to the galver above the main deck. He watched how pup cleaned the deck, she did a pretty good job, mostly.
