Chapter 14: "The Hero Cloaked in Yellow" (Side- Reality)

When Artemis and I catch up to Bee, Bee is on her knees behind some shrubbery. When we get close enough to drop down next to her, we can see a look of pure disgust on her face, and it looks as if she's trying not to vomit. When I look forward, it becomes very clear as to why.

There's a girl there who's wearing gear that makes her look almost completely like one of those mutated bees, but the gear seems to be molded onto her body. On her head is a helmet shaped like a bee head, and her arms up to her shoulders are metallic and wing shaped. I can't tell because her arms are covered by the coat she wears, but with the way it's unzipped and the fact that she's only wearing underwear underneath the coat, I can see a glimpse of where the wings end. Her arms where the metal wings end look somewhat like scarred flesh, almost as if her arms were cut off and replaced. Lastly, on her right leg, the piece of gear she wears looks like a much more advanced version of Bee's stinger. The rest of her body is normal, and she still has hair, though she is very thin and pale.

What makes me have to hold in my lunch however is the way her helmet opens up as she eats those beehives as if they were apples. The worst part is the fact that the bee corpses are still in those hives, falling out around her mouth and body as she chows down. She doesn't let a single corpse go to waste though. Any corpse that falls out of the hive is quickly picked up and down her throat the next instant.

"What in the hell is wrong with that girl..?!" I cover my mouth to keep myself from throwing up.

"I don't know...but this needs to stop. Now!" Bee charges energy into her palms and stinger, firing three at once directly at the bee woman. However, three mutated bees swoop in and use their bodies as shields, falling dead on the ground.

"My babies! Who dares strike me from the shadows?! Come out now!" The woman hisses and turns in our direction.

"Oh I'll come out alright!" Bee charges in quickly with the help of her magic.

"Wait! We need a pla-" I reach out to stop Bee, but Artemis grabs my shoulder and shakes my head.

"She's not in the right state of mind. The most we can do right now is support her so she doesn't die." I nod in response to her statement and we both dash out of the leaves together.

The bee woman closes her helmet and spreads her metallic wings, sending out some kind of sound wave. "How dare you interrupt my meal like this! You must be the vermin who have been killing my colony! For that, you'll die!" All of the mutated bees turn to look at us and their eyes turn red. There's well over a hundred bees for sure, just like Bee said, but I can't get scared and run away.

Bee uses her flash power to drill through a small group of the bees with ease, using her blades to slice them into pieces as she spins in the air. From why I'm seeing, Bee's able to move those two blades however she wants with her energy inside of them; almost as if she were using telekinesis. She makes it to the woman in just a few short seconds, charging energy into her palms and stinger once more. "You've been controlling these mutated fucks to kill bees and steal bee hives so you can eat them?! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" Her stinger moves up to her palms and she fires a hire powered energy ray. A dozen of the mutated bees all move to defend the bee woman however, and she doesn't receive a single scratch.

The woman's eyes glow red and she audibly growls with rage. "HOW DARE YOU?! I'm so close to turning myself into an actual bee like my babies so I can fully become their queen! I refuse to let you kill them all like this!" She aims her stinger at Bee and fires a thin, high-powered beam at her at the speed of light like it's nothing.

Bee just barely manages to dodge the yellow beam thanks to her flash, but it does graze her open stomach, making her grunt. "Is that all you've- UGH!" Bee is instantly silenced as the bee woman tackles into her and the two of them slam into the ground.
