Cross Worlds (Hiatus)

Chapter 54-2

"I hope you have a plan Kei...because if not, we're literally screwed." Riku says, readying his stance and keeping his eyes on The Queen.

"We can still win this Riku. I've been beaten into the man I am because of her training, and I know just how strong she is. She hasn't been holding anything back either, and a new suit of armor doesn't take away the damage we've done, nor the amount of magic she's used already..." Kei states quickly.

"Uh, yeah, but we're clearly much more fucked up than she is, and she's hardly used any magic." Riku thinks to himself, gritting his teeth as he braces himself for the second round. "There's only really one strategy I can go for right now..." Riku's eyes widen and he glances at Kei, who's already looking right at him. Their eyes lock for a moment, and Riku realizes that they're thinking the same thing. "That's why he's so confident. Because he saw me delete her magic despite it being much stronger than mine. That's what he's banking on!"

In an instant, The Queen is suddenly right in between the two. "You two must really be quite full of yourselves if you think you can look away from an opponent like me."

Riku quickly throws up his blades in defense and Kei tries to create a cloned wall, but both their defenses are quickly shattered. The Queen moves so fast she's able to swing her swords and legs to the point Riku and Kei just feel a barrage of blows and cuts all over their body. "She'll slice us to pieces at this rate! We have to act now!" Riku lets out a powerful war cry, letting his aura explode and force The Queen back, if only tripping her slightly.

Kei uses that split second to slam his leg against her, creating a copy of the tip of his blade on his boot to try and stab her. However, her armor is too strong to pierce, so, thinking quickly, Kei instead creates a thick cube that instantly knocks her back thanks to his copy magic's properties.

Riku "teleports" around the cube to fire a flurry of quickly charged beams into The Queen as she catches herself. The Queen isn't able to block due to the speed of the beams, but she doesn't have to, her black light armor protects her perfectly. Even so, for every part of her armor that was hit, a small circular hole now remains in those places in her armor. "So intriguing. Magic effects like this shouldn't work unless your magic is more powerful than mine, and I know yours isn't, boy."

Instantly, The Queen's armor fixes itself as she applies more magic to it, and she's in front of Riku in a blink. "Riku, get away!" Kei calls out.

Before he can even move, The Queen delivers a powerful punch to Riku's gut, causing a shockwave due to the force of her magically enhanced fist. Riku coughs up a bit of blood and his vision blurs momentarily. Before he can fall over, The Queen grabs Riku's head and holds him up, her helmet dissipating so she can look him in the eyes. "You're using your magic in a very smart way... Yes, perhaps I won't kill you after all. I think I'll beat you both senseless, and then I'll torture you until you comply with my demands. How does that sound?" The Queen whispers to Riku.

Riku's eyes widen and he clenches his fists tightly. "You could cut off my arms and legs...break every bone in my body...and I would still continue to fight against you..!" Riku's body steams, his rage quite literally making his magical energy boil. "I'll never work for someone like you, I will never back down no matter how much you hurt me, and I REFUSE TO LOSE TO SOMEONE LIKE YOU!!!" Riku lets out a mighty roar of power and his aura explodes once more.

The Queen only looks on, intrigued, smirking. "I can't wait to make you one of my pawns, Riku. You will yield to me."

"NEVER! NOW LET GO OF MEEEEE!!!" Riku screams once again, gathering his massive aura into his blades and swinging them up at The Queen. At first The Queen doesn't budge, but as she feels the blades cutting through her armor, it makes her eyes widen. She lets go of Riku's hair too little too late; Riku's magic flies out of his blades in the form of two massive energy slashes that send her flying. The Queen slams her feet into the floor, holding her ground and just barely deflecting the cross of energy slashes before they explode, making them explode in the air instead.
