A couple days after my fight, I returned to the forest at night, making sure to leave as a shadow so I didn't run into anyone. Instead of training my magic, I waited. About an hour would pass, and at that point I'd think of heading back. "Alright, looks like he's not coming back." I stand up and stretch. "Maybe he'll pop up some other night."As I'm about to start my training, a familiar dark aura swirls out of the ground and from it appears the young man I've been waiting for. "Have you been...waiting for me..?"
"I have. I was sure you'd be waiting for me too, considering you dressed my wounds. I figured you wanted to talk again." I chuckle, looking down where his katana had cut me before. There's not even a scar, so I'm inclined to believe someone magically healed my wounds at Artemis. Try as I might, I still can sense if someone has magic in their system yet. "I'm still not strong enough yet. I have to keep getting stronger."
"I guess you read me like a book..." He averts his gaze, hands in his pockets. He doesn't appear to have his katana with him this time, which is relieving to say the least.
"I actually didn't." I say in response to his statement. "I figured you'd come back here, but I still have no idea why you did what you did. Did my words really reach you?"
"M-Maybe they did... S-So what?" He turns his head away entirely.
"How cute, you're embarrassed." I chuckle, smirking playfully.
"I-I am not! Shut up!" He scoffs in annoyance.
I continue to chuckle, thinking back to the many times I've been teased by Remi, Jira, Yoshitabi, and even Emica sometimes. I guess they're starting to rub off on me a little bit. "Well, I'm glad you came back to talk." I cross my arms and lean on a tree. "It's about time we settle this matter. I'm not going to ask about your scars, and you already told me why you attacked me. I'm not mad at you, but there are some things I wish to know."
He lightly nods his head. "Go ahead... Ask away. It's the least I can do."
"Alright, first and foremost, your name. We nearly killed each other last night and you never even introduced yourself."
He pauses and his eyes slowly widen. "W-Wait, I didn't?! N-No way..." He looks down and ruffles his hair, making me chuckle with a nervous smile on my face. "I-I'm Yujita Watari."
"Nice to officially meet you shadow boy. My name's Riku Fumiya, though I'm sure you knew that already, didn't you mister stalker?" Yujita doesn't say anything, nor does he react. It's only when he blushes from embarrassment do I realize that he really didn't know my name. "Seriously..?"
"I wasn't paying very much attention to what people were saying around you..." He mumbles and looks down to hide his flushed face.
I facepalm. "Alright, question two, and this is my last question. Are you okay with coming out here every night?"
"I don't see why not. How come though..?" He cocks an eyebrow.
I smile devilishly and create a sword of light. "Because to repay me for nearly killing me, you're going to be training with me until my body gets used to my magic. Not to mention you didn't even have the gall to learn my name. I hope you're ready, because we're starting now!" I dash at him.
"W-Woah woah woah! What?!" He pulls the katana he used before out of thin air and blocks the swing of my blade.
"Woah, so you can store items in your shadows. Impressive, but it won't help you much!" I swing again rapidly, Yujita parrying and blocking my strikes.
"W-Wait! Hold on a minute! I said wait god dammit!" It's a bit of a stretch to call it training, it was mostly just Yujita defending against my onslaught of attacks for an hour. It was some simple payback for what he had done to me. I don't plan on doing that every night though, nor do I plan on using him to simply train myself. I hope to make his magic stronger through our training as well. I don't tell him any of that though of course. Despite how angry he left that day, he returned the very next night. It seems he's looking forward to our training just as much as I am.
