Giyuu's wish (Part 4)

Two weeks after Tomioka was invited by Uzui's family, he had been kept under great surveillance by his comrades. Nothing could have been done to improve his health further, His friends decided Tanjiro and his group would be best suited to lift his spirits. The rambunctious group of young were Thankful that Inosuke was arriving a little bit late that day. Nezuko had tagged along with Zenitsu and Kanao, Inosuke was going to propose to Aoi that morning, so all of them didn't bother to contact him. It was mid day when they heard a crow yelling,

"Caww!! Kanzaki Aoi has accepted the marriage proposal of Hashibira Inosuke!" It flew overhead repeating the same line for a few miles.

"I'm so happy for them." Kanao pressed her hands together,

"Looks like the only couple we need are you and Zenitsu, isn't that right Nezuko san?" Kanao asked,

Tanjiro pouted at the thought of him giving away his younger sister. He took Kanao's hand and sped up as they walked to Tomioka's cabin. Zenitsu began bugging Tanjiro about accepting his marriage with Nezuko, while the long haired girl just laughed at the whole thing. Tanjiro stopped walking, he turned around and pointed a finger at Zenitsu. With a deep inhale he readied himself and said in a loud voice,

"Zenitsu I won't allow you and her to marry until it's been a little over 2 years from Inosuke's wedding!"

"What why?!" Zenitsu shrieked,

"She's too young to be married!" Tanjiro huffed,

"You're a few years older than her! I need to make sure you will take responsibility in case she has kids!" He frowned,

"Big brother, you and Kanao-San are close in age aren't you?" Nezuko reminded him,

"Aaaah! If she's too young then does that make me too old?!" Zenitsu panicked,

"Nezuko is right! You guys are so close in age it's unfair! Aoi san and Inosuke too! Not fair! Not fair!" He rolled on the ground,

Minutes of bickering went on between them, Nezuko was able to comfort her boyfriend while Tanjiro was blushing as Kanao hugged him. This calm sense of peace seemed like a pipe dream many moons ago, their years of hard work leading to triumph at last is what kept them from being depressed at the death of their comrades. Kanao suggested that she and Zenitsu await for Inosuke and Aoi since the girl was like a sister to her as well. They had an idea to meet up with them in case they took a detour, and Kanao preferred bringing the guy with the fastest legs. Being the first people to visit Tomioka today would be like a sibling reunion so this is was an arrangement for the best.

Zenitsu reluctantly agreed since he hated parting ways with Nezuko, but understood their point. This meant a lot to all of them, plus if Kanao had any physical issues in the woods Zenitsu would be best suited to defend her instead of Tanjiro as not all demons were exterminated from the world yet. With a goodbye kiss from their significant others, Zenitsu and Kanao walked back quietly. As Tanjiro bonded with his sister as they chattered away about how happy they were about how they had been longing to see Tomioka hoping that they could cheer him from his depressing mood.

"Do you think he will like the rice crackers we made?" Nezuko asked,

"We are precious to him so I'm sure he will love it." Tanjiro held a fist up,

"He better like mom's special recipe!" He hollered while Nezuko couldn't contain her laughter,

"I got to ask Tomioka-san if he wrote on the charm I gave him. He told me that he will tell me all about it later." Nezuko nodded,

"Is it something special? It must be because he said he's gonna hold onto it for the rest of his life! He promised me!" Nezuko stuck her nose high into the air,
