Knock knock knock "I'm not home!" Yelled a woman. "Hey it's me Amber please open the door Mona." "Why didn't you say that before?" The door opened, revealing Mona. A brunette blue-eyed woman with an outfit covered in stars and accents of blue and red. She was also wearing a hat in the same style.

"Oh who must this be?" The just spoken of asked. You were about to speak up till Amber cut you off. "This is y/n she's a traveler and needs a place to stay for a while. Is it alright if she could stay in a spare room?" "Hm I need to think about it for a moment." She closed the door. "Heh?" You looked at Amber with a confused look but you find her doing the same.

After a while the door opens. "The stars speak good words of you traveler. I will lend you the keys for your accommodation for now." "That's great! Then I'll leave you here y/n. If there's something wrong look for me I'll be there to help! I'm going to scout the area for now goodbye." Amber said while waving. "Oh, bye Amber thanks a lot!" You waved too. Mona did too. And then she was out of view.

Mona welcomed you inside and poured you a cup of hot tea. You admired the decorations she put up in the house. 'This is Pinterest worthy.' There were lots of plants and books. That's the first thing you noticed. There were candles here and there creating a cozy environment. Lots of wooden furniture like bookshelf's. There was one couch in the middle of the room when you come in, which was black leather. A small coffee table in-front. At the right side there was a little kitchen, it was nothing much but enough. In the back there were stairs leading to the two bedrooms they talked about also a small bathroom.

You took a sip and sighed of content. Mona sat down and took her hat off. "So, what brings you here to Mondstad?" She took a sip of her own cup of tea. You sat the cup back on the table and collect your thoughts. 'Yeah what is it that brought me here. I could've went straight to Liyue. No that's too dangerous.'

"Well I happened to be near and it seemed the safest place to stay for a while." You said. "Ah I understand it must be difficult without a vision." She said looking kind of pitiful. "No no it's fine I just lost my weapons so I thought it'd be a safe place to recollect." You lied, it is indeed hard which is why you couldn't go much further. "Well, you can stay for as long as you want but stay too long and you have to pay rent." She laughed. "I'll be sure to pay you back thank you Mona." You said sincerely.

It's become late you've been chatting for a while. It was mostly Mona talking but you like to listen to her stories. "I'm going to bed, your bedroom is on the right. Nice to meet you y/n." She smiled before turning around and walking the stairs. "Goodnight Mona!" You finish your drink and walk to your bedroom.

The room was small and cozy. There was a wooden bed and an oil lamp on the bedside table. A white blanket with a blue plaid folded at the bed end. There were 2 pillows and 1 little round pillow in-front of them both. Y/n sat down on the bed end and kicked of her shoes. Also putting her bag on the bedside table. Mona left her a night gown in the closet so she put it on and laid down in the bed, pulling the blanket up to her neck.

'I can't believe this actually happened. Of course the thought of this happening occurred a couple of times but who would think some day it'd actually happen. I'm pretty set for now but I want to explore the world and find out why I'm here. Problem is that I need a vision to stay safe. I don't know if there's a respawn for me.' You sighed and thought for a while. Boom, Idea. 'Maybe I know a quick way of getting one. It involves a certain bard.' That night you slowly drifted into sleep.

"Y/n?" Silence. "Never mind I'll just leave the keys on the table." About half an hour later you woke up. "I slept like a rock. An awesome rock if I say so myself." You threw the blankets off and put your feet on the ground. You stretched a little and walked to the bathroom. You did your thing like washing you face, showering, putting on your clothes, doing your hair and thankfully there was a spare toothbrush so you could brush your teeth. You put your hair in a ponytail and walked downstairs in search of some food before you go out. But you didn't find any food. You only found a pouch with a letter next to it. It read: 'I do not have any food in the house but Amber came by early with a bit of mora. It's enough to get something from good hunter.' "Wow, Mona indeed doesn't have money on her own. Maybe I can get something for her too." 

You grabbed your bag and put the pouch in with the keys. Walking outside you were met with the well known breeze, known well in and around Mondstadt. It felt nice, the weather was also great. It wasn't hot or cold but just about right. 'No wonder this is the starting area.' You made your way through town and were greeted by the town folk. Everyone seems so nice. 'I wonder where we are in the storyline.'  You could see Sara standing in the distance. "Ah the famous good hunter! I hope I have enough for a sticky honey roast." You checked your wrist again, it showed the mora pouch in your inventory. "That should be enough right?"

You walked towards Sara. "Hi could I order some food?" You asked. "Yeah of course! Hi I'm Sara what could I get you?" Sara smiled. "Could I get two sticky honey roasts? One to go and one to eat here." "It will be done soon, choose a place to sit. You can pay after you ate if you want." She gestured to the tables. "Thanks!" You sat down at a table and moved your bag so it sat on your lap. After a while of looking around and enjoying the view your order finally arrives. "Here you go miss! I packed up the other one for you. Please enjoy." Sara said while placing your plate down. "Thanks!"

There it was, a sticky honey roast in all their glory. The sight of it already made you drool. You couldn't wait to dig in so you grabbed your cutlery and made a cut. It didn't take much to cut it, it was so well cooked. The smell was enchanting you. Finally you took a bite. Your pupils widened on how good it tasted. "Yep this is my favourite food now." Sara looked at you and you gave her a thumbs up which she smiled at. When you were about to take another bite you were interrupted by a somewhat squeaky voice.

"Oooooh she's got sticky honey roast! Could we get some too pleeeaaaasseeeeee." The unknown person said. You turned around to be met with the main character of the storyline. Lumine, who was accompanied by her travel companion Paimon. "Quit the whining Paimon. You're obviously bothering this lady." Lumine scolded. "I'm so sorry for the trouble." Lumine apologised. "Oh no it's alright! No need for apologies." You quickly said while waving your hands.

"I'm Lumine and this is-" You cut her off. "Ah I see so that's your emergency food." "Yes you're absolutely right." Said lumine. "Paimon is not emergency food! And Lumine don't go giving her wrong ideas! Paimon is her travelling companion nice to meet you uhhh?" "It's y/n, and don't worry I was just kidding it's nice to meet you two." You suddenly remembered how much Paimon loves sticky honey roast so decided to do the obvious. "I overheard you saying you wanted sticky honey roast. Well I don't think I can eat this whole thing so if you want to you could eat with me." You smiled a close eyed smile.

You could hear Paimon audibly gasp. "Where have you been hiding?!" They sat down and got some extra plates from Sara. Then you all quickly dug in. You all had some fun conversations with each other. Just getting to know one another you shared some stories. Obviously letting out the part about you coming from another universe. But you still had a laugh about coming to Mondstadt. The great thing about talking to the mc is the fact that you can milk out the conversation from asking about what she's been through lately. This means she will tell you at which point of the storyline you are.

'Hm so this world progresses with the updates. And we are up to date.' She started talking about her brother too, which made her mood go way down. Which you noticed. "I'm so sorry about your brother Lumine. But I've got a feeling everything will be alright! I'm here for you whenever you need me." You smiled at her. "Thanks a lot y/n." She smiled back. You put a hand on her shoulder. "That's what friends are for." "Seriously, can we keep her? Paimon wants to keep her!" Paimon exclaimed.

After a while of talking Lumine stood up. "It has been nice meeting you y/n but we've got some commissions to do. Ooh I just remembered we are going to Angel's share tonight with some friends. I think it'd be fun if you joined us." Lumine fiddled with her fingers. "Sounds fun count me in!" You said with a smile. "Okay then we will see you at nightfall. See you later y/n." They waved at each other and then walked out of view.

You payed Sara and headed to your temporarily home. Deciding to put the sticky honey roast in a fridge if Mona even had one.
