A vision?

It was around nightfall, Mona hasn't returned yet but you stashed the food away for her. You grab the keys and walk out of the door straight to Angel's share. The streets were emptier since most people went home around this time. You could see the last stripes of orange fade into a darker shade and now the whole sky is covered in a dark blue, which would only turn into a darker version of it. Stars speckled across the sky, you've always loved the stars but now is not the time to admire them.

Arriving at Angel's share you open the door. It was a bit heavy but you could handle it. As you walked in you were embraced in the warm welcoming air of the tavern. You saw a man with red hair stand behind the bar, looking at you since he hadn't seen you around before. Of course you already knew that he was Diluc. With his red fiery eyes and fair skin. No doubt it was him.

Seeing the tavern with your own eyes and feeling the vibe is a real experience. It was crowded but it was a great feeling overall. The large amount of wood being used in the interior did the place well.

You walked further in and saw Lumine and Paimon sitting at a table in the corner. There were a couple of people with her. "Hey y/n over here!" Lumine saw you scanning the room and quickly waved you over. Walking closer you could finally see who the people were.

Venti, with his blue and green eyes that practically Glowed in the dark and his green and white outfit of a bard. A green hat and two braids which held his blue hair together as usual. Surprisingly Amber and Kaeya were also there. You sat down next to Venti. Next to venti sat Lumine. On the other side of the table sat Kaeya and Amber. There was also a chair at the head of the table so Paimon could have a special place to sit. It was actually a kids chair but no one told her for safety measures.

"So you're y/n right? I'm venti nice to meet you! I've heard great things about you ehe~" Venti handed you a drink but you declined. "Oh are you not old enough to drink?" He asked kind of embarrassed of offering. "Oh no I'm old enough but I think my personality is drunk enough." They all laughed. "So tell us a bit about yourself."

You told them a little about your family and such, also about your best friend and how you arrived here. Just casual stuff, not too much to reveal the life you had before this. After that, the subject fell to other things and you could breath again.

All talked the night away. It was a lot of fun, funny stories and just the characters acting as their usual selves. Also Kaeya and Amber bickering again. They all didn't drink much, which you found a bit worrying since Venti wouldn't miss the opportunity to do so. You also see him looking at you sometimes. Like he's scanning you. 'I think he knows something.'

Everyone became tired. You didn't know the time but it sure as hell felt pretty late. "It was a lot of fun tonight guys but I'm gonna go. Got to have some rest for those damn commissions." Lumine said. "I have to be up early too." Kaeya tuned in. "I have to scout the area again so can't be up too late." Amber said. Venti stayed silent so you decided to stay too.

You said your goodbyes and turned to Venti. "Venti can I talk to you for a moment?" You asked. "Yes but not here." He pulled you by the wrist to the back door and led you to Windrise. You could hear Diluc in the back: "Who's gonna pay the bill?!" Both of you simply laughed.

You arrived under the big tree in Windrise. You both sat down against the tree and looked up at the sky. "It surely is beautiful here." You sighed. The stars took your breath away. Like they always do. But this sky was different, of course you didn't know it but something just didn't feel right about it.

"Look Venti or Should I call you Barbatos?" You expected him to look somewhat shocked but his expression was the same, telling you to continue. You explained your story to him. It felt good to finally tell someone the big secret you've kept even if it was for a couple of days. It already weighed on you.

"I see, I had a feeling you weren't from around here. Not Mondstadt persé but this world." Venti said also looking at the stars still. "What should I do? I don't even have a vision. It'd probably be best to dig a grave." You burrowed your head in your hands. "I want to find out how I got here and what my purpose is in this world." You said with passion. Venti took notice of this. Silence fell.

"So what if you had a vision?" Venti suddenly broke the silence. "I'd train hard to become stronger and find my place in this world. It's not only because I have to but also because I find it cool." You honestly told him. Venti started chuckling. He stood up and held his hand out to you.

You looked confused but still took his hand and let him help you get up. "Hold your hands up in a bowl." He instructed you. You did as he told but still didn't understand a single thing. Venti took a step back. The wind suddenly picked up and seemed to surround you two with it. You looked at Venti and he simply gave you a thumbs up.

A light formed above your hands. "I hereby give you, y/n, a Anemo vision of your own. I hope you do good with it." You lowered your hands a little to take a better look. The light emitting in it became stronger and the both of you were illuminated by the light. It was a beautiful scene with the crystal flies flying above your heads.

The light finally dimmed and you were now holding a beautiful Anemo vision. You gasped. "Thank you so much Venti I can't thank you enough!" You tackled him in a hug. "You're welcome ehe~" "I'll make you proud." You said while freeing him from the hug. "You better."

Venti started walking back. Until he noticed you weren't coming along. He looked at you confused. "I'm gonna stay here for a while. It's nice here." He simply nodded and waved you goodbye. He was walking awfully slow though. 'Wouldn't gliding be faster?' You thought.

You sat against the tree for a while, looking at the stars. 'That makes me think of someone.' You remembered. "The stars, the sky... it's all a gigantic hoax, a lie." You said while looking at the stars. 'Scaramouche.' "He really left for 9 months to finally return in the new trailer. I wonder if I'll run into him. And if it'd be a good idea."

After admiring the stars for a while you head to Mona's place. You left your pole-arm there so it'd be best to avoid hillichurls for now. You put your vision into your bag just to be sure you wouldn't lose it. When you arrive at Mona's place you see her hat on the table. She's asleep, no wonder it's pretty late. You decide to do the same.

(Le timeskip~)

You've been in Mondstadt for a month now. You're getting used to the life there. Taking a delivery job at Good Hunter was a great idea since it gave you a vast sum of Mora. You haven't used your vision yet since Mora was your first priority for now. And it looks like you saved enough.

"Mona I'm heading out!" You exclaimed to Mona who was reading a book on the couch. "Okay be careful!" She replied. You've grown closer in a month, she feels like a older sister to you. You walk outside the door in a now modified outfit.

You had a belt made in town so you could wear it with the dress you originally had. So you made modifications to the dress as well so a belt could be used. With those modifications you could also clip your Anemo vision to your dress at the hip. That's really all that's changed to be honest. Its not much but it's better already with little Mora spent. Since you had a vision now you could put the black tassel in the sort of personal void where only you have access to. You also still had your bag with you.

You take a look at your wrist and still see the level 2 on it. You sigh. "Well I really should train now if I want to progress." So you walk outside of Mondstadt doing your usual routine, scaring Timmies birds. You run as fast as you can and scare the birds shitless. "Hey watch where you are going!" You hear Timmy behind you but you couldn't care less.

You had a training dummy ready at Windrise. Venti put it there on your request which you couldn't thank him enough for. It'd be awkward to train inside of Mondstadt so it's best to just do it like this for now.
