Y/N struggled to find a grip on the edge of the tower, the stone crumbling under her fingertips. She heard somone yelling and looked up to see Alistiar reaching down to her, trying to help her up.
"Y/N!" He called, trying to grip the human's hand to pull her up. It was a long way down and he wouldn't let her fall to her death. She tried desperately to grip her love's hand, but just as she thought she was safe, her hand slipped from his. She didn't scream as she fell, it felt almost like slow motion. Alistair screamed for her, tears welling in his eyes. He watched helplessly as she floated through the air, her hair surrounding her like a halo. Suddenly the world sped up and he heard Y/N's body hit the ground with a sickening crack. "NO!"
Alistair woke with a start, soaked in sweat. He looked over to his beloved Y/N, her H/C locks spread over her pillow. The prince took a deep breath and swung his long legs over the side of the bed, slipping on some pants as silently as he could before leaving the bedroom, smiling at Y/N's slumbering figure. He walked through the empty castle halls trying to clear his head. The dream of Y/N's death had been worrying him for more than a week now and he was beginning to think it wasn't just a nightmare anymore. It had felt so real, the scream he'd let out as he watched her plummet to her death, the feeling of her hand slipping from his.
He made a decision right there and then, if this was her fate, he would be joining her in death after destroying the Archdemon.
