The next morning you woke up next to him. You woke up confused and you got scared when you saw that the ceiling was unfamiliar. All you remembered from the night before was that you had drank too much. When you turned to see who's soft breaths you were hearing, you saw him. You had somehow ended up in Rafe Cameron's bed.
You immediately wanted to get out from under his arm, longing to go home. You got up, found your phone, and slipped into the bathroom. *28 missed calls*
"Shit" you mumbled. Some dude you barely knew had landed you in so much trouble.
Luckily, you found all of your clothes in the bathroom, you planned on taking a shower but in that moment your knees buckled. You fell on the floor of bathroom, feeling weak and sick. The hangover was tough. The wretched sounds of your sick woke Rafe up, he walked groggily into the bathroom, holding your hair up so you could puke without worrying about it.
When you were done you thanked him and said you would just change and go home. He insisted on you showering and dropping you off. You let him. He got you into a mess so he should be the one to fix it, right?
When you got home
Your mother saw you opening the gate of the front yard through the kitchen window. Instead of a rush of relief, she looked infuriated. "y/n + y/l/n! Where the hell have you been? Especially without telling us? Do you know what your dad and I have been through? We were worried sick!" She shouted. At least you knew she cared, she cared so much that she didn't even notice Rafe until he spoke up.
"Sorry ma'am" he said with his head bowed.
"Yeah, sorry" you replied.
"y/n was at a welcoming party at my house, it was a welcoming party and I invited a few of my friends" Rafe said before your mother could say anything. "I'm Rafe Cameron by the way," he stretched his hand out, willing to shake your mothers' "Ward Cameron's son."
Your parents, despite the fact that they were new, knew who Ward Cameron was. You couldn't believe that he was milking his family name.
"It got really late and Rafe was busy dropping off other people so I didn't have a ride. His sister, Sarah, said I should have a sleepover and she was so excited so I said yes." you said, head down.
"Why didn't you answer your calls, or texts?" your mother inquired, was she not believing the story?
"Uh.." Rafe interrupted you. Damn, he was a good liar. "My dad thinks that our generation is on our phones too much so he made everyone put their phone in a box. He's constantly talking about 'disconnecting from the internet and connecting with reality' or something like that" Rafe said, now smiling.
"Yeah, your dad's not like anyone I've met before" I laughed, following along.
In your bedroom, texting Rafe

"hold up. babe???"
"nahhh don't do that bro"
"ur gonna bro zone me ??"

"9 inches? fr?"

"u were good too tho. i remember us both enjoying it"
"way better than when ur mom nearly walked in on us"

end of convo
You went to bed that night, trying to remember the party. It didn't work out very well. You were grounded for the weekend so you fell asleep at the thought of Monday. He was a nice guy, even if you didn't remember much, you were willing to give him a try.
