my eyes fluttered open to a bright light....

as memory's  flooded back into my head I sat upright in worry, much to my regret as a piercing pain shot through the side. I looked to the side to see keqing by a fire cooking some fish with a bandage over her right cheek . 

surprisingly we were no longer in the middle of an ocean but by a sunny beach, most of our wounds were heald as well, strange

"the others are gathering food but the adepti left," the girl spoke

"but on behalf of the liyue Qixing I thank you for your help..traveler"she stated

"oh by the way the yaksha seemed Very unnerved about something if you ever get to talk to him again....well I don't really know what I would do" keqing finished

"thanks keqing,  what do think we should do now Paimon?" the blond said indicating to the floating person sitting next to the fire staring that the fish

"weeeellllllll maybe Paimon thinks should eat jussssttt a tiny bit before we head off" the girl inquired now drooling

the first thing I felt was water a droplet on my face then another and another my eyes opened to a rainy, clouded sky as the water droplets streamed down my blood soaked and torn cloths.

I was behind a rock next to a sea shore and what seemed to be a fire that seemed as if it had just gone out as it was steaming.

I got up ad looked around, my body was aching in almost every crevice of it.

as I looked around I found that liyue wasn't that far off so I decided to head there and continue my search for morax.

I had entered liyue harbor once again, I was pouring rain and in the middle of the night.

"oh! it's you! umm ding right? or was it ping..." a girly voice echoed through the almost empty streets

I looked to see a young woman around my height with long brown pigtails skipping her way over here

" oh Ms. Hu tao what a pleasure, and it's Ying with a Y" I quipped as she eyed me with a mischievous glint in her eye

" Mr. Zhongli has currently retired for the night if your still looking for him. oh! and try not to go make yourself a client just yet the fee would be huge because there aren't Verry many discounts as of now" she laughed as she skipped away fading into the darkness

I sighed and thanked her internally as I approached the lone house on a hill just outside of liyue harbor. 

I knocked on the door and a faint 

" who is it " came from the back of the house

I stiffened up at hearing the deep and stern, unmistakable voice of the geo archon himself

"s-sir I have come to examine you gnosis, please forgive my delay" I said... talking to barbatos was one thing. he was younger than me, but talking to morax was on a whole other level 

his voice seemed much closer now "come in"

 I slowly opened the door praying to celestia that I would not get yelled at. my eyes were met with the one and only lord of geo in a a luxurious pale brown vest with an ivory neck tie hanging untied on his shoulders

"sir I hav-" I started 

" I gave the gnosis to her, I gave it away to the fatui. they won't hurt liyue anymore. no after our contract. you may leave mow I have a guest coming over." he said in a rather cross tone

"BUT MORAX, WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT DO YOU KNOW HOW DU-" a shriek was heard from the house

the now slightly angered male was grasping a mass of the woman's hair

"who gave you permission to raise your tone and use such informal language around me..your filthy as well" the taller male said, cringing at her bloody torn bloody cloths

'You..ought to..ow..treat me with more respect'

at that moment a knock at the door was heard

"hey Zhongli sensei, Signora got busy with other things so I came here instead. we are gonna discuss the final deals of the contract or at least that's what she said" a voice said coming from the other side of the door at the front of the house

the man let go of the girl leaving her to sit on the floor, her hands supporting her wheight

"go change into something less....not formal, and wash your self as-well. the bathroom is down the hall to the right. I'm sure you have something to wear in that endless bag of yours" the man said annoyance in his voice

the woman hurried down the the hall as the brunette answered the door

I thought I had heard a scream come from the house in-front of me, but I was snapped out of my thoughts as zhongli opened the door. his hair was untied and his normal worn jacket was seen discarded on a couch in the room behind us

"it's nice to see you so casual zhongli sensei" I laughed as he threw me a sour look 

"just come in" he grunted 

as I strode into the house I could hear a distant running of water an occasional splash  

a few minutes later Zhongli said he would get us some tea, so I decided to snoop around his house just a tiny bit.

I know it wasn't the best idea snooping around the former geo archon's house but I was curious enough to do it.

suddenly the door to my right slowly opened, a girl came out wearing a simple yet odd looking blue dress, her face was that of a doll staring unblinkingly at me.

"oh it's you! that girl who asked me about signora" I said recalling the time I bumped into her

she strode passed me and into the room I was just in completely ignoring me

"strange as ever" muttered as I follower her back into the room
