"Come on just stay another day." Douma pleaded.

This was his eighth time asking for you to stay another day. Of course, the past week had been more intriguing than expected, you still had to go back to Akaza.

Well, that's if he'd even allow me back.

Douma interrupted your thoughts by giving a light tug at your dress. You looked back at him, a big frown plastered on the blonde's face. He didn't want to see you leave. Not after everything you did together.

"You could just stay forever." The man offered with a soft smile.

You sighed, "Yea I could if I cared. Which I don't, I've just been pitying you for the past week."

He seemed a bit confused at your words. As if you'd misunderstood the meaning of why he wanted you to stay.

He looked away feeling defeated, "Well then go ahead and see Lord Akaza but I'll be visiting soon."

You looked away from Douma and stared at the doors in front of you, relieved that I'd finally be able to leave. You weren't hating the fact that you'd stayed for so long, neither were you loving the fact that you were away from your real goal for so long.

Something only Akaza could offer.

You waved off Douma and left his cult house. It wasn't too late nor too early, the sun had just set a couple of hours before you left. Families were cleaning porches, eating dinner, playing outside near their houses as you walked through the village.

It didn't take long for you to be back in the woods. A particular feeling was eating away at your stomach as you got closer to the dojo. A feeling only Muzan had given you.

Dread, excitement? no.

Pure fear.

You were afraid of what Akaza would do to you. His past threats towards you seemed genuine. He definitely could hang you up on a tree and let you burn in sunlight.

He was just that powerful.

Maybe I could at least fight it off now.

The good thing about Douma is sometimes he wasn't horny. Sometimes he took things seriously and helped you train.

Although everything came with a price.

It was rare when he'd leave you to go do his things while you walked around his cult and spoke to his followers. Rumors were of course spreading of your relationship, which angered some and made others happy.

Most followers seemed to get along with you, some you grew fond of. Not enough to remember their names, but if you saw them walking across the street you'd recognize them.

However, most of the time you would just talk to each other. Douma was surprisingly enjoyable and interesting to talk to.

Your philosophies on life differentiated so much yet you felt as if he's the only one you could trust if it came down to it.

You stopped.

Trust?

There is no such thing as trust.

You scolded yourself repetitively until you'd finally came across the dojo. You felt your heart sink when you watched Akaza walkout at the same time that you showed up.

Would he kill me?

He suddenly turned your way, he paused for a moment until his eyes widened. Realization plastered all over his face.

"Hi Lord Akaza!" You waved at him.

Maybe sucking up a bit would get him on my good side.

Akaza looked away, not even responding. Before you could process what was happening he was gone in an instant. Off to who knows where. You stood there stumped on what you should do.

Would chasing after him even benefit you?

Go after him.

Don't.

Do it.

Your indecisive thoughts swarmed your mind.

You wanted to run after him but why?

Why do you care enough to waste my breath on him? You didn't want to admit the feeling.

You cared. You knew you did.

Did you care enough to acknowledge that?

No.

Will you still follow him and apologize for what you did?

Yes.

It was settled and as soon as it was you followed Akaza's familiar scent into the deeper part of the woods. He was an incredible runner, with the normal human eye you most likely wouldn't even see him run up to you.

But lucky for you, you weren't human.

You ran for a while, I didn't even realize how much time passed. You heard loud noises come from up ahead, and could make out a small field patch, and a train that had fallen down the tracks.

Was this what he was doing?

Suddenly red and blue colors zoomed through the small opening. As you got closer you suddenly realized.

Akaza was the blue color that zoomed all over the area. The demon slayer was the red color.

You hid yourself up in a tree and turned your attention to the three demon slayers observing the battle. They all seemed tense. One had a mark on his forehead and ruffled black hair with burgundy tips at the end. He wore a checkered haori combined with the all but to familiar demon slayer corp uniform.

Your heart dropped when you saw his Hanafuda earrings. You felt your grin form, and your respect for Akaza went up by a mile.

He was planning on killing these demon slayers and the boy Muzan commanded lower moon one and you to kill. However, here was Akaza getting the job done for you.

You looked over to see a man with a bore head which you paid little attention to, yes you were shocked but it's the demon slayer corp. What more of the unexpected could you expect?

You looked over to the last demon slayer and your eyes widened.

Isn't that the boy?

You heard the hanafuda earring boy scream.

He was pointing at you.

"There's another demon!" The boy yelled.

Oh shit.
