Who knew silence could be so loud?

Kokushibo had finally let you out, not that it mattered. He'd been more lenient lately which worried you.

Was what he said true? I'll be dead soon?

The days after were filled with regular training. It was different however, it was pure silence.

You wouldn't admit it, but you hated it.

Kokushibo seemed to understand. He wasn't much of a talker anyway. You couldn't help but feel like he slightly missed when you spoke.

Deep down you felt something would happen if you stepped out. You were hesitant to leave, but ultimately if this was my final night you'd go out with a bang. Or two.

You could only hope that Akaza was there, you hadn't made contact since the last time you saw him.

Luckily, he was.

"What are you here for?" He asked, sitting down in front of the dojo.

You scoffed, "To see you. Isn't it obvious?"

He laughed, "It is, I'm messing with you. How have things been?"

"It's been something, don't know how to explain."  You replied, taking a seat next to him.

"I presume you know now." He muttered, patting your head.

"I do, not too hyped for it but death is inevitable."  You looked up at him, his eyes always stayed cold but you knew he felt sympathetic.

"You remember your past right? I've always been curious about what my human self was like."

"I do, she was a lot different from me." You sighed, resting my head on his bare chest. "I was too nice. I would've died if I saw a demon, I don't know why it was so easy to turn me into one. Guess I was gullible."

Akaza caressed your face, "Who was she?"

"I- well she, was an ouran. Pretty good at it too." I laughed.

"Her parents let her do that?"

You uttered, "She had no parents, they were killed by samurai. They deserved it though. Poor her."

"I wonder what would've happened had we been in the same era, maybe I would've lived here." He pondered.

"We couldn't then but we can now." You proposed.

Akaza shook his head, "I don't think it'll work now."

"I wasn't suggesting that..." you ran my finger down his chest, "perhaps something else should suffice?" You cooed.

"Don't play a game you won't win." He retorted.

"I will win."

"We'll see about that."
