"There, for all your troubles, a proper burial." You mumbled to the dirt that covered the cold corpse of your deceased counterpart.

The only memory that ran through your mind— walking around the land. Waiting, patiently but at the same time dreading the thought.

Of being caught by him.

You know he was searching for you, and you couldn't trust anyone. Not even the men you took interest in.

You'd counted the two sorrowful weeks that had gone by since that day.

Tired.

Have you ever felt like this as a demon?

No.

Never.

Why are you so tired?

It wasn't a physical feeling either, mentally you were tired.

The three people in your life that you genuinely felt a need — a purpose to cherish and appreciate.

Were either dead or most likely betrayed you.

It didn't feel that way, it didn't feel like they betrayed you.

How could they? After all the things you'd said and experienced with them.

How fucking could they?

Did they snitch on you? It seemed so to any other logical demon.

But to you...

it was impossible.

Douma confessed to you and even if Akaza had yet to say anything verbally, he made it blatantly obvious that there was something more than a partnership between you two.

Was it just a pack of lies?

You sat near Koinatsu's grave, angrily pulling out the grass from the earth. You couldn't believe how stupid you had been, so ignorant.

Unbeknownst to you, somewhere else in Japan, two demons were standing on another grassland.

They despise each other for many reasons, some they'll admit to each other and other things that they'd rather not say.

The one with alluring blonde hair speaks first, "Are you sure you don't know where she's at?"

The other one nods, "I assumed she chose you."

The blonde laughed, he was a tinge narcissistic, and hearing one of his many enemies admit slight defeat made his night.

"I wish, but if she isn't here where could she be?" He asked the other demon.

The demon responded with a feeble shoulder shrug.

"I have a feeling where she's currently at. But what's the point? It's obvious she wants us to leave her alone." The other demon informed the blonde.

The blonde placed his hand on his chin, thinking that he rubbed his chin would somehow pop an idea straight into his brain.

He wasn't too sure how to react to the situation, normally he wasn't too keen on keeping up with his fellow "allies".

But it was different now.

She felt so different than all the other women.

You felt so different than all the other women.
