"Now where are you taking me Akaza?" You questioned him with a grin on your face.

The entire week you'd spent every second together and you could say some things happened...

"You'll see, it's a pretty nice place. I ate a human here once before I got upgraded to being a uppermoon, haven't been here since."

"Wow so mysterious." You shook your hands in his face to tease him as you walked.

Since you'd finished your tasks of the night, eating humans that is. He dragged you off your original trail home, you were now in some unfamiliar area in the woods.

"Yea I know I'm very interesting, anyways we're here."

You stopped at a cliff, you could see at the bottom there was a small lake.

"You think I could make it into that water without dying?" You asked as you looked over.

You felt him grab the back of your dress, his grip was hard. It felt as if he worried.

He aggressively pulled you back, "You'd die without even getting my answer, don't look that far."

"You didn't have to be so aggressive." You complained.

"Yea but you would've died so what would you prefer?"

"I nice tug actually."

"I'll nicely push you next time."

"I hope I die." You laughed.

"Shouldn't say that, might happen." He warned.

"Ehh, I've been wanting to ever since I was a human. Not to get too sentimental but the work I was doing then, honestly I wished I'd end up dying from an illness before I got into that line of work."

He hummed a response, you both sat on the ledge. You took it as a sign to keep going.

"I feel like I'm just a curse at times. I could've killed myself, both human and now. I don't know why I still live at times." You vented to him as you played with the grass.

You felt bad for speaking to him about your past, it was too depressing for anyone to hear.

"It's not like my parents are even out searching for me, stupid bastards."

He rubbed your back, "What'd they do to make you hate them? I don't think I'd speak of my parents like that if I even had memories of them."

"I didn't hate them as a human... but now it's different. I'm unsure of whether I do truly hate them or not. We'd grown up poor and they gained a bad reputation, a samurai ended up killing them."

You noticed while you was speaking that he was slowly pulling you into his hold, you let it happen.

"Didn't you just recently become a demon? Samurai are still around?"

"His father was a samurai in the Edo period. Taught him how to use a sword well, he was quite handsome." You chuckled.

Akaza rolled his eyes, "And you? What happened after that?"

"When I found their bodies I knew I was going to be targeted, so I ran away. I ended up becoming an Ouran, that life was never a fun one."

His brows furrowed, "Did anyone ever mistreat you? You have the power to seek revenge now."

You shook my head, "Surprisingly I was never mistreated, men were extremely delicate with me. I was special, which is exactly why I became Ouran."

He snickered a bit, "Hm, maybe you have some sort of purpose as a demon or maybe you are cursed."

You looked at him with a death stare, "You really wanna do this now?"

He flashed a smile, "You know I would win, plus I'd rather enjoy the view and listen to you."

He turned back to look at the moon, for some reason it felt darker than previous nights.

"Why are you still alive?" You asked.

"Well, I'm not sure. I just have this odd urge to serve under Lord Muzan. It might be different for you since you seem to dislike the dude."

"Yea but doesn't everyone?" You joked.

"Maybe not Kokushibo, I think the rest of us do." He joked back.

He interrupted you before you could speak, "Enough of that, he would murder the both of us if he heard this conversation. Why are you still alive?"

You paused for a moment, confused on how to answer.

Why am I still alive?

You shrugged, "Don't mean to sound cheesy but maybe because of you and Lord Douma."

He tched, "Lord Douma? Seriously?"

"I like him, even if we can't be together."

"Sometimes you can be selfish and stupid." He blurted out.

You scoffed, "Selfish? How? Maybe stupid but selfish? Never in a million years would I ever think to hear you of all people say that."

"Don't even question it, I'm out of here." He hissed at you while he got up.

He ran away before you could convince him to stay.

You sighed, what offended him by me mentioning Douma?

"Finally he's gone."

You heard a deep voice from behind me. You could feel their knees touch the back your head.

You looked up to see him.

Kokushibo.
