Repercussions

George: Kid?... Hey Spider-Man, you ok?
Peter looks up startled and sees Captain Stacy standing over him. Peter looks around to see he is now sitting on the back of an ambulance.
Peter: What happend.
George: We got the woman out of there and sent her to the hospital. Bomb squad is also with her to defuse the collar bomb.
Peter: *mumbles* not what i meant.
Geoege: What?
Peter: Nothing.... As long as she's ok that's what matters most right now.
George sighs and rub the bridge of his nose.
George: Look kid, what happend wasn't your fault. No way in hell could you have known what would've happend. He's just messing with you.
Peter nods slowly as he stands up.
Peter: Be seeing you Captain.
Peter fires a webline and swings away. George looks at Peter with a look of worry.

(The next day)

Peter is in his bed in regular sleep wear tossing and turning as he relives the moment of the man's death over and over.
??? Peter, it's time to wake up.
Peter feels a hand touch his shoulder as his eyes open wide and he quickly grabs the arm and twists it.
Trent: OOOWWWW!!!
Peter sees Trent and quickly let's go, sweat going down his face.
Peter: *breathes heavily* Sorry Trent.
Trent: You alright Pete? You look like you've been killed.
Peter closes his eyes and tries to slow his breathing.
Peter: Yeah...... Yeah I'm fine.
Trent raises an eyebrow.
Trent: Oh really? I saw the news about the two people.
Peter turns away from Trent and gets out of bed.
Peter: I'm fine Trent, leave it alone.
Trent: No you're not Pete. Tell me what happend.
Peter: I'm. Fine. Just..... just drop it Trent ok? I don't want to talk about it.
Trent reluctantly nods.
Trent: Alright, just.... just don't keep it buried ok?
Peter says nothing as he goes and puts on his clothes. Trent wheels away and looks at Peter and then leaves.

(At school)

Peter is walking down the hall as he sees Harry. Harry looks at Peter and smiles.
Harry: Yo Pete!!!
Peter nods and just continues walking past Harry.
Harry: Pete?
Peter continues walking and turns a corner. Felicia walks up next to Harry.
Felicia: What's wrong?
Harry: Peter seems off.
Felicia: How?
Harry: He just walked right past me, without saying a word. Last time he was like this was when Ben died.
Felicia: What should we do?
Harry: .... Go after him. I'll text Gwen and let her know as well.
Felicia: Alright then.
Felicia runs down the hall and chases after Peter.

(A few minutes later)

Felicia opens the door to the roof and sees Peter sitting at the edge of the roof looking out. Felicia walks towards Peter. Peter turns his head and sees Felicia.
Felicia: Hey.
Peter: ... hey.
Felicia sits next to Peter.
Felicia: So... everything alright?
Peter is silent for a few seconds before sighing.
Peter: No, I'm not.
Felicia: What happend?
Peter: I.... tried to do something to help someone but instead it got them hurt. And now it's eating at me. It's eating at my soul and I don't know if I can keep doing what I do.
Felicia: What do you do?
Peter: I... help people. But this time I didn't, this time helping got someone hurt.
Felicia: Hmm.... what about before?
Peter: Huh?
Felicia: What about before this person? What if you didn't help those other people, would they have gotten hurt?
Peter: Yeah.
Felicia: Then don't worry about it.
Peter: But-
Felicia: Pete, you can't help everyone. It's a hard fact to swallow but it's true. What matters is that you try to help as much as you can, no matter what.
Felicia grabs Peter's hand.
Felicia: If you let this one person get to you, then other people you can help will get hurt, and then it's on your head. Got it?
Peter stares into Felicia's eyes and smiles.
Peter: Yeah. Thanks Felicia.
Felicia smirks and shrugs her shoulders.
Felicia: No problem Pete, I'm happy to help.
Peter smiles and looks at their hands touching and blushes.
Peter: Uh Felicia, you're holding my hand.
Felicia grins.
Felicia: I know.
Felicia kisses Peter on the cheek and gets up.
Felicia: Come on, the others are worried.
Felicia walks off towards the door as Peter is blushing and smiling like crazy.
Felicia: You coming?!
Peter gets up and looks at Felicia.
Peter: Yeah, I'm coming.
Peter walks towards Felicia and the two walk back into the school.

Yooooooo, I kinda getting back into the groove of things. Really wanted to get this done just so I can start setting up multiple things *chuckles maniacally*. But you'll have to wait for that later. Heads up, next chapter will be non canon as it will be a crossover with another one of my books for the sole reason of making my friend read this story.
