Because I Love You

chapter six

Bella approached Nate, who looked as if he wasn't enjoying the party.

"What's wrong?" Bella asked Nate.

"Not feeling it right now," Nate said weakly.

"Come on let's dance," Bella said while letting go to the music.

"I just said I'm not feeling it right now!" Nate said irritated.

"Whatever, tell me when your not on your period," Bella said as she walked away pissed.

Bella knew something was wrong with Nate. She didn't bother to go back to him and argue with him, so she walked over to her long time friend, Jake. Jake was always there for her and she was so comfortable to talk to him. The thought of Megan popped up on the mind of Bella's and how Megan has been deeply in love with Jake.

"Hey Bella, what's up?" Jake greeted Bella.

"Nothing much, just had to get away from Nate," Bella responded.

"Why? What happened?" Jake seemed curious.

"He's just not in the mood right now, but what's up with you? You seem so happy," Bella said.

"Well you can't say anything, but I hooked up with Maria," Jake said.

"Why do u like her?" Bella asked with a strange face.

"I know she's not the best person, but I love her." Jake responded.

Bella wanted Jake to give Megan a chance, but wasn't sure how to. So she changed the subject.

"Do you know if there is any alcohol here?" Bella wondered to forget her mind about everything.

"Yea just ask the bartender, but I don't think you should be drinking," Jake said concerned.

"It's okay," Bella said walking away to get a drink.

Bella kept on drinking drink after drink until her mind had faded. She walked over to the dance floor woozy and just started to dance. Bella wouldn't stop, it was like she was possessed. But she had to stop, she was dripping of sweat, and she was close to fainting. Jake looked over and saw how terribly drunk she was and forced her to leave and took her home.

Bella, in her mind, was kind of hoping it was Nate that would care for her, but he had left the party before she did. She began to think. What if he didn't want to be in a relationship anymore? What if he was getting sick of her or what if he didn't love her anymore? Bella knew that she would be devastated if they broke up because she had loved him since middle school. She decided to get some rest, mainly because she didn't want to think of her and Nate not together.
