While something cooked up between Jake and Megan, Tyler and Melissa started something else. Into the night, after a lot of partying and drinking at the banquet, the party finally came to a close. Around 10 pm, everybody pretty much left the party leaving only Tyler, Melissa, her mother, and a few of her mother's friends there. Melissa watched her mother and her friends. "God, all of my mom's friends are such prudes, it's caught on to me."
"Nah," Tyler said. "I don't think you're as stuck up as any of them, I bet the single ones have never even gotten laid before." She looked at him, her mouth slightly opened.
"Well in that case, I don't think I'm that different." His eyes widened in surprise and he mouthed a big wow.
"You and Elijah," he said. "You two have never-"
"No," she answered without letting him finish. She was slightly ashamed of her answer but tried not to make it obvious, Elijah always wanted to take things slow between them and she had to respect that. Tyler looked at her strangely but didn't comment on it and looked back at Melissa's mother.
"Go ask her," Tyler said, motioning to her unoccupied mom.
"...Ok," she answered, slowly dragging her ball gown down to the table where her mother was, walking through the mess of confetti, icing, and some glass. "Mom?"
"Yes sweetheart? I'll gather our things, we should get going in a bit," her mother said in a tired voice barely even looking at her.
"Actually, I was going to ask if I could go over Tyler and Gemma's place for a bit." Her mother squinted her eyes as if she thought Melissa was making some bad joke. "This whole party was fun...but kind of a drag. I just need to spend time elsewhere, I know it's late."
"Honey-" she started but Melissa interrupted her.
"I know what you're going to say, it seems odd that I'm going to their house instead of Megan's or Bella's or Alison's but I really, really need some time to-" she started to ramble but her mother placed a finger on her lip, stopping Melissa from blabbering on.
"Actually, I didn't think that was such a bad idea. It's still your day sweetheart, just be careful and I won't have a problem with it." Melissa's eyes widened in surprise, she didn't think her mother would actually allow her to go anywhere but to their own house.
"Oh, thanks. I'll have to go then," she smiled. Her mother just nodded her head and smiled back. Melissa walked back to Tyler who smirked as she approached him.
----
"Go have another one," Tyler said with a large smile on his face as he handed her yet another shot of Vodka. Melissa hesitated at first but took it anyway. They arrived there over an hour ago and she already had 3 glasses of wine and 5 shots of Vodka. Having her sensitive stomach, there was no way of her not getting sick the next morning."I'm drunk!!" she yelled while doing some awkward dance move that made her look insane. Gemma raised her eyebrows at her and took another shot herself.
"No doubt about it," said Tyler who was also starting to get pretty wasted. Their parent's open bar had a large variety of alcohol pretty much laid out for them. Scotch, whisky, different wines, and vodkas were all lined up across the shelf. Melissa knew what she had gotten into, drinking all this would have it's consequences but at the moment she could care less. She kept drinking.
"Bottoms up," she even said, taking what was left of the bottle of vodka to herself. The burn it caused down her throat made her feel alive and independent, she wasn't mommy's little girl anymore. Gemma looked worried staring at her but didn't stop her from downing the entire bottle. Melissa could barely think, couldn't care about anything anymore, she was reckless and Tyler was greatly amused by it.
"Hey, are you okay?" he asked her as she almost fell trying to get down from the bar stool. "Melissa." She could see the blur of his face as he caught her.
"I'm fine," she said throwing her hand out in an unmannerly fashion. Tyler shook his head for he was still somewhat sober.
"You should probably get her upstairs, she needs to lay down. However it has to be in the right position just in case she throws up," Gemma said, still drinking even though she obviously drank way too much already.
"Okay, I'll put her in your room."
"Uh no," she snapped. "My room isn't a hotel room, you invited her here. She goes in yours." Tyler rolled his eyes but still helped Melissa up the two flights of stairs to where his bedroom was.
"Can I have another shot?" she asked with a smile. Tyler shook his head trying hard not to laugh and putting Melissa down on his bed. "Lay here with me at least?"
"Sure," he agreed, somewhat confused as to why she'd ever want anything with him again. Tyler knew she moved on from him a long time ago. Still, he laid down beside her and she stared into his eyes. She completely lost control over herself, the alcohol was already burning in her bloodstream.
"This was fun," she said to him.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it," he said. "I mean, you act like you have a stick up your ass most of the time, so I'm glad to finally see you have some fun." She giggled as he smiled, and they just stared at each other for a while until Melissa unexpectedly did something she had no control over. She suddenly placed her hand around the back of Tyler's neck and pulled him closer to her, placing her lips on his mouth.
Tyler was taken aback by her sudden move and felt bad that she had a boyfriend, yet he couldn't stop himself from kissing her back. "Mmm," he let out. They continued kissing until Tyler somehow got almost on top of her, his knees kneeled on either side of her skinny waist.
He broke the kiss only to take his shirt and pants off as well as Melissa slipping out of her blue ball gown. "But- but how about protection?" she asked carelessly in a tired voice.
"Trust me," Tyler said. "I got it covered." And just like that, Melissa obeyed his order.
