The thunder Hashira

Narrator pov:

Demon slayer HQ

All the hashiras were kneeling down in front of Oyakata-sama, or better known as Kagaya Ubuyashiki. He was sitting in front of all of them and he said "I'm really glad Makamo and Sabito survived. Especially since they're one of the few water users left" making everyone shocked except for Giyuu "what do you mean by that oyakata-sama?" Shinobu asked while Muichiro was just staring at the sky 'what cloud was that again?' He thought.

Oyakata then explained to his children "90 years ago, there was a former water hashira who had two children. One of the children became a water hashira, the other became a twelve kizuki. However, that child soon became an uppermoon and has been killing breath of water users, bringing breath of water users to the brink of extinction." Sanemi then spoke up "so that brat has a vendetta against water users? Sucks to be you Giyuu" but giyuu ignored the comment. "Demon activity has been lesser lately..." oyakata said as Uzui said "does this seem and sound familiar to anyone or just me?" And kyojuro replied "I am getting that feeling as well. But we must defeat kamado shoden!" With still his bright smile. Kanae then said "we must be careful, these demons have a short resistance to the sun. And the only reason why we defeated uppermoon 2 was because of Tanjiro" "thats right!" Kyojuro said "Kamado shoden is still trying to assist us!" Sanemi then said "how can we trust him?! He has slaughtered so many people, not only that he is the king of demons!"

"It's no secret that Kamado Tanjiro has become evil. However, his humanity is whats keeping us alive at this rate" Oyakata said "we have not seen his uppermoons true power. And we haven't even seen uppermoon 1" all the hashiras bowed and was dismissed. The government took notice of this and had deployed soldiers around the city to patrol, some of the military that were patrolling are demon slayers just in case. However when the military was deployed, several military bases reported being attack, some reported being attacked by samurais, some reported dolls, some reported several arrows passing and killing soldiers. One base was reported completely destroyed, all the slayers who went there never reported back. When the hashiras arrived, they see no dead bodies, but blood, but that wasn't the only case, they witnessed several katanas and guns sticking out of the ground, as if it was a sign of respect and honor.

Infinity fortress

Each uppermoon received their own territory, Tanjiro had been gathering all the low leveled demons to the fortress and he had given the koto lady the task of finding the demon slayers new HQ. And while that was happening, Tanjiro had injected himself with the demon cure so that he can retain his humanity until he finds Oyakata-sama and the hashiras. The drug that he was working on is ready.

All the uppermoons were getting ready for the final battle that will finish off the demon slayers. Uppermoon 3 was holding a katana and cleaning it, the katana that belonged to the previous thunder hashira that he killed recently. In his territory, he was surrounded by the swords of the hashiras that he killed. Though uppermoon 3 killed, it doesn't mean he doesn't honor them. Every person he fights, weak or not, he always shows respect as he believed it was only right. After cleaning the sword he went to a random spot and stabbed it into the ground, as a way to honor their sacrifice to protect the weak and giving him new found strength. After that he always remember the entire fight of the person he killed.

Flashback

The lightning hashira was given orders to investigate something in the outskirts of the village, upon investigating, he finds nothing but swords that were stabbed the ground and sees a 10 year old kid wearing a white polo and gray pants who was praying. The lightning hashira immediately knew he was an uppermoon, the lightning hashira was looking around and noticed the sword of his student. This made the pillar angry. He then saw the shadows forming behind the kid and revealed mouths and eyes, all the eyes said uppermoon 3. The lightning hashira got ready. "A pillar, I was waiting for you" the uppermoon said and his voice sounded like there were a lot of voices, and among those voices, he could've sworn that he heard his students voice. "You..." the lightning hashira said "what have you done to these people?!" While the uppermoon only replied "I only consumed them, but I honor them for giving me new strength each time I kill them" and that was when it was confirmed, the lightning hashira heard his students voice among them. "You will pay!" The lightning hashira yelled as the fight began "breath of thunder, Fourth Form: Distant Thunder!" The hashira generates a ball of electricity that releases waves of strong multi-directional lightning bolts from afar. However the shadows blocked the attack as the attack just disappears.

The uppermoon then sent several of the shadows towards the pillar to what seems to be impossible to dodge "Breath of thunder, Second Form: Rice Spirit"  the pillar releases five arched slashes made of lightning in quick succession. All the shadows were immediately cut off and turned to ash only for a bigger one to appear "breath of thunder, Fifth Form: Heat Lightning" The hashira unleashes a long-ranged upward sword slash made of lightning. The shadow immediately turned to ash, then suddenly he was surrounded by the shadow spikes and he barely dodged them but he was severely injured from the attacks. "Heh..." the hashira laughed and said "I guess I may die here, BUT IM BRINGING YOU DOWN WITH ME!"  making the uppermoon smile seeing the dedication the pillar has then he said "well then... come at me!" As a bigger shadow appeared and opened one giant eye saying uppermoon 3 as several smaller shadows manifested and went towards the pillar trying to stab him and it looked like they came from the giant shadow.

"Breath of thunder, first form: thunder clap and flash!" The user unsheathes their katana, dashes forward at blinding speeds and decapitates their opponent faster than they can react before sheathing it back. But when he reached the uppermoon with the form, he only managed to cut half of his neck as he was immediately impaled by a shadow, as the shadow lifts up the dying hashira the uppermoon let his neck heal for a moment and said "you fought bravely, but now your fight is over. You fought with honor and you shall die with honor. Now join your student and your family in the afterlife. And may you have a good life in the next one. Rest in peace, Kaigaku, the thunder hashira." As the shadow that impaled Kaigaku slowly brought him down to the floor that was covered by a giant shadow that opened its mouth and ate Kaigaku whole. Leaving his sword as the only thing to remember him by.

Before Kaigaku was consumed, Kaigaku said this in his dying breath "heh... I remember my previous life... I deserve this... Hey Zenitsu, if you remember me in the previous life, I just want to say I'm sorry. Find a wife and live a good life. Please take good care of grandpa."

End of flashback

At Zenitsu's home

Zenitsu was kneeling in front of a portrait of Kaigaku, him and his grandpa. His grandpa had passed away and he remembered the news of how Kaigaku became a hashira but lost to an uppermoon. From then on he swore he would find the uppermoon that killed Kaigaku and that he would avenge him.

YO! how was this chapter? Tell me your reaction to the lightning pillar turning out to be Kaigaku! Now I get that kaigaku was an asshole in the manga but I wanted a bit of redemption for the man. It just felt right especially since he was introduced in one chapter only to get completely murdered by Zenitsu.

Modern secret 2: Of course I made Kaigaku the thunder hashira who died in the early chapter, there wasn't enough room to add all the characters in the demon slayer manga and all so I try to squeeze the ones I can into the story!
