The new demon king (Completed)

Calm before the storm

Narrator pov:

Infinite fortress

The koto lady was playing the koto, transporting other demons around the country to the fortress. Uppermoon 1 or also known as Arata approaches her lord, Tanjiro. "My lord" she kneels before him "what is it you require?" That was when Kamado faced his uppermoon 1, he placed his chemicals down "I am aware of the genocide caused towards the water users. However, you didn't kill them all" Arata clenched her fist, she still had a vendetta, they were the reason why she couldn't lived a proper childhood, they were the reason she went through hell. Especially her father and her brother "You will get your chance, the last remaining water users are a few slayers and a hashira. I offer you this chance, because  I am aware of you wanting to kill them, i know your reason, hence that reason is why I chose you. Do not disappoint me Arata" she bows her head as the koto lady plays her koto.

Tanjiro looks to his left and there he sees his uppermoons, standing at different spots of the fortress, they await their lords command. "The demon slayers fall today, we will do something that the previous demon lord failed to accomplish" with that, the sound of the koto could be heard, as they were one by one transported to different areas of the fortress. Tanjiro sighs and looks towards the wall where he hung his sword, it was the same katana he first used when he joined the slayers, his humanity was fading, he injects himself with the cure, unfortunately it was his last one. He will use this opportunity to visit the slayers, one last time, for once the cure has faded, he will be no more. 

The sun won't kill him, not yet at the very least, he prayed that the drug he prepared and the drug yushiro was enough to kill him. If not, then the world would be doomed. Tanjiro took this opportunity to search for the demon slayers HQ. He must, he needed to, find Oyakata-sama, he wanted to warn them. He left the fortress and began searching. 

Demon slayer HQ

The demon slayers have  been rallied, all available units returned to HQ, a meeting was held with the government, specifically the head of the military. The hashira sat around the table with Oyakata-sama at one end and the other end was the government "So all demon activity has ceased. Has this happened before?" The commander asked and the hashiras had memories of their previous life, they've seen this before, it was all too familiar. "We have general!" Rengoku replied "And we must begin preparing! The last time this happened, was when Kamado Tanjiro became the new king!" "Indeed... He is preparing to strike us down" Gyomei replied. 

"If this is the case... Then what do you need us to do?" The general asked and Oyakata spoke "Only sunlight and our blades can harm them demons, however the new demon king is immune to the sun and is searching for ways to make his followers immune."  "I have an idea, my soldiers, we've been harvesting and finding more of the nichirin ore you spoke of, we are melting them into bullets, we can stand a chance against them. Though we know not much of hand to hand, we still have a chance, this is also our home." 

The hashiras all looked at each other and nodded "Then this is it, his final attack, his final move against us. If we fail here, over a million innocent lives will be lost." 

And with that, the training begun, preparations began. 

Every demon slayer had been preparing for this moment, they were sharpening their blades and the pillar training begun. 

Military forces have been rallied, half the military was deployed into the city, marshal law was declared. They came up with a cover-up story of how terrorists may move towards their city and must remain vigilant. But the main force that would strike against Kamado Tanjiro, began prepping. They prepared medical supplies for injuries, they used shotguns but most specifically, shotguns shipped from the U.S. The kel-tec KSG (If you wanna know what it is google it, I cannot install an image :/). Using their ore they collected and creating 12-guage steel slugs, armor piercing. 

As for the slayers, they're training begun and lets just say its exactly like before. 

Nezuko was sitting next the hospital bed of both makamo and sabito "How are you guys feeling?" she asked and Sabito let out a warm smile "I'm fine, the cure took effect quick." but Makamo wasn't smiling "Makamo what's wrong?" Nezuko asked "It's just, Tanjiro, he cured us but if he really wanted to help us, why won't he just disband and get rid of the demons?" She replied with still a sad expression "Not only that, the hashiras were supposed to die against that uppermoon, but a poison took effect converting him to nearly a human" 

"Well, whatever it was, I don't know, but we can't give up now! That man, that demon king isn't the Tanjiro we know!" Nezuko stood up "He isn't the brother I once knew, that is the tarnation of Muzan. It wasn't his  fault, Tanjiro sacrificed himself to protect us,   to protect humanity, we need to repay him by doing what he would've want us to do. And I will honor it!" Nezuko's speech also caught the attention of Zenitsu, Kanao and Inoskue who was standing by the door.

"Well said Rekuzo!" Inoskue said "I will show him that we are strong! For our friend!" Zenitsu was afraid but stood strong, His brother didn't die for nothing, Tanjiro didn't sacrifice himself for nothing. Same with kanao except she wasn't afraid, fear has never ran through her veins. "We are with you wherever you go Nezuko" Kanao said placing her hand on Nezuko's shoulder. 

Just then they heard a voice coming through the door "Well said Nezuko" They all turned and they knew who it was "Tanjiro?" Nezuko was tearing up at the sight of her brother, but his eyes weren't the same "I'm sorry I wasn't strong enough, I know all the sins I have done are unforgivable. The serum won't last any much longer, this is where I bid you all my final goodbye" 

Everyone in the room wanted to cry at the sight of their fallen friend, a man who loved all and all loved him, "Tanjiro!" Kanao yelled "You have to kill me" Tanjiro finished while looking at the sunset and embraced his friends one last time "Goodbye..." Tanjiro said while crying. Sabito and Makamo stood up and joined the group hug "I'm sorry" and then the floor opened up, and they all fell in, same with every slayer, soldier, and hashira. 

They were all separated, Nezuko looked around and saw her sword lying next to her,  she picks it up and looks around, this place, she remembers it, she wasn't there but judging by all the descriptions she was given, she knew this place. "The infinity fortress."

Hello! I have returned, school has been a pain lately, and Like i said, I wanted to work on my OG story, because I was very invested into that. But that doesn't mean I'll abandon this story.
