Seeing Things

Chalkline's POV

I kept trying to reach Stacy's phone and it was still going to voicemail. I got to where the accident happen and when I saw the car It made sick to my stomach. I asked officer which who was in the accident and he said a lady and she was alive. I asked what hospital she was sent to and it he told me. He recognize who I was and asked if I wanted him to escort me and I told him I would greatly appreciate it.

I was blaming myself, I knew if I was around she would not be out driving at night. I got to the hospital and gave the officer a money to buy a drink. He told me thanks and asked if I was related to the lady in the car, I told him she was my wife. He said no it was not my wife, he said my wife was on the scene but she was not in accident.

"Yuh sure it was not my wife?" I asked

"Artist me know your wife, short brown pretty lady. She was with another girl and a guy was also there it seems as if it was the girl's boyfriend" He said.

That's either Mandy or Jade since they were the only who drive Stacy's cars. I made my way into the hospital. I asked for information on a crash victim that just came in and the nurse told me to have a seat she will get back to me. I didn't listen, I found my way through some doors, I asked anyone I saw where I could find a patient who just came in from a crash. I was directed right to them.

I stood there watching as she paced back and forth and biting her nails. Jade was curled up in a chair with a Jacket thrown over her and that was when I realized it was Mandy who was in the accident.

I moved her closer to her and I stood still so she could walk right into me. She did exactly what I wanted her to. When she hit my chest and looked up at me. She froze for a minute like she saw a ghost.

"Line" She said.

She threw her arms around me. She started to cry and i just hugged her tightly.

"I'm so sorry baby" I said.

I got her to sit down on a chair and I sat next to her. She rested her head on my chest.

"Thank you for being here. Thank you for coming " She said.

"Stacy I got scared out of my mind. I thought it was you. I'm so sorry you have to go through this but I am here now so you won't have to deal with this on your own" I told her.

"Are you coming home?" She asked

"Yes" I answered. She pulled my face down to hers and kissed me. God I missed her.

"This is scary baby. The doctors said she was bleeding from the head. What if its really bad?" She asked.

She was looking at me for what I could not give.

"Just wait for the doctors to tell us what is going on. Please don't worry so much right now. I will try to find out what's going on. I will be right back"

I left to find a doctor. I wasn't sure if we would hear anything tonight, we might have to return in the morning but I wanted to try so I could atleast put her mind at ease.

Stacy's POV

I looked at Jade curled up into ball on the chair and thought about how these girl's life were left into my hands and I couldn't do anything to protect them.

I found it strange that Tyler was not at the hospital with us but I will have to deal with him another time. Maybe he was badly shaken up and his mother thought it was best for him not to come. Who knew?

I watched Line as he spoke with a doctor, I could read his body language and I could tell that it was not good news. He made eye contact with me and it was pure pity in his eye and I knew from there things were really bad.
