Raffaele had not left Circe's side since their little date. He was like a lost puppy.
"What do you mean you're going shopping? I thought you were going to spend time with me" he said with a childish pout on his face.
"Geez Raff, give me a break, I have been spending time with you for the past week" she huffed, putting her shoes on and straightening out her skirt.
"Fine" he rolled his eyes slamming his office door shut.
"Jesus what's up with him?" Fleur asked, Kaia holding her hand and Ilaria following not too far behind them.
"He wants me to stay here with him" Circe told him, and they all looked saddened for a minute because they hadn't spent time together in a while "But I'm coming with you guys" she added in.
"Thank god. You two need some space from each other before he grows too attached" Ilaria rolled her eyes as she walked out of the house and towards her car.
But the problem was, he was already attached.
Raffaele sat in his office, swirling his whiskey glass around with his hand.
He didn't mean to be so overbearing and clingy, he was just so worried about her leaving him.
He knew that if he had finally let her in this would happen. He would get attached, like he always did, and fuck it up.
Him and Circe were polar opposites in that sense, yes she did want to be around him a lot, but not 24/7.
They helped each other ease the pain in their chests and focus on the good things instead of the bad, but Circe also liked to have alone time, to evaluate things in her head, by herself, like she always did.
She barely had time to breathe with how much time they had spent with each other. She couldn't even shower on her own without him following her into the bathroom and joining her.
The car pulled up in front of the mall and the four girls got out, ready for a long day of shopping.
"Four o' clock, black jeep, four men with blonde hair and tattoos just got out" Circe told the girls.
Ilaria bent down to tie her laces, looking up through her hair at the jeep Circe was on about.
Kaia turned her head right to kiss her girlfriend on the cheek, while also looking towards the jeep.
"Russians" Fleur asked, not needing to look over because she could sense them there.
"Following us" Circe said giving a big fake smile at Ilaria "I'm going to get a new dress for the next date" she said, loudly enough for the four men a short distance away to hear, so they would think they were having normal 'girly' conversations.
They all decided to spend the day in the mall anyways, despite being followed. Acting oblivious to the men who had since split up, keeping a constant eye on them.
If they had left as soon as they noticed the jeep, they would know they were spotted, and probably attack since their cover was blown.
All of them were far too tired for a fight, especially after weeks of relentless training.
They shopped around for a while, trying on clothes and shoes, buying lingerie to impress the partners in their lives or 'to just feel sexy' as Ilaria put it, being the only single person in the group.
"I'm hungry" Kaia moaned, rubbing her empty stomach.
"You're always hungry" Fleur scoffed, but there was a hidden innuendo in her tone.
