Zihao sighed deeply as he held back another wave of emotions. Today had been exhausting for the boy with the all too vacant stare. Watching life pass him by for a day was utterly tantalizing, but he couldn't do a thing about it. So he sat silently at this table full of sad, awkward teenage boys. Until someone started talking.
"So... how did you know Tills?" Hanyu asked, looking towards the redhead. Xinlong just coughed a bit before readjust long himself in the plastic fold-out chair. He was sure Hanyu wouldn't want to know that they had sex with each other and then forever after that felt obligated to stay friends.
"Just... close friends..." Xinlong choked out, nodding awkwardly.
The scene was laughable really, the tension Hanyu had created just from a simple question.
"Oh, close friends Huh?"
"Very close." Xinlong cleared his throat, hoping his immense awkwardness didn't give anything away.
Hanyu just nodded and asked Zihao the same question. I'm turn, he had almost the exact same reaction. Zihao and Xinlong's experiences being of the same nature.
"Just friends." Zihao sniffed.
"She was my best friend." MingRui cried, still no let up of the tears. But he seemed a tad more calm.
Hanyu's expression saddened to see MingRui so upset. He hardly knew him but losing a friend was never easy.
"I'm sorry." Hanyu said.
"Hey, RuiRui." Shuyang neared the table, recognizing his sister's friend.
"Hi Shuyang." Rui sniffled.
Shuyang looked around the table and tried to hide his blush when he saw Zihao. His stomach fluttered as if a billion butterflies all of the sudden lived in there. He couldn't help but find the tall, and handsome boy attractive.
He shook his head and remembered his original mission, handing MingRui a stack of envelopes.
"I-I only knew you so can you find who the rest belong to?" He asked, setting down one specific envelope next to Zihao, knowing him well.
"Yeah sure." Rui sniffed and shuffled through the envelopes as Shuyang left the table, cheeks completely red.
"What are those?" ZeYu kissed Rui's cheek as the younger sorted out the three envelopes by name, handing them out to the boys across the table.
"MingRui, that's me." He said, sliding the object closer to himself.
"Xinlong." He muttered as he slid it towards Xinlong. He eyed the thing skeptically.
"And Hanyu." MingRui passed the envelope to
Hanyu as he picked it up swiftly, overlooking the creases and the folds. It was a homemade project, very cute and girly. Hanyu looked at the other's. Xinlong's was red and lacey. Zihao's was black and had cut out hearts decorating the boarder. MingRui's was blue with ribbon. All of them containing a note, handwritten from the one and onlyTills.
