ZeYu laid in bed next to his sleeping boyfriend as he curled up to cuddle him. His mind was going back and forth at a million miles an hour, his head unable to rest. The way BangChan had glared at him today when they saw each other was bine chilling.
He tossed around a few times before getting up and digging around in his closet, keeping the main light off as not to wake Rui.
He grimaced as he pulled out the same jade pendant from a dusty show box. The stone was still as green as could be and it felt heavy in his hand. It felt like a billion pounds. His eyes turned back to the sweet boy he adored, and gilt toiled in his stomach, hand clutching the ache as if to wish it away. He had the necklace, so Rui would be safe. But he still couldn't shake the doomed feeling. He loved MingRui and Noyoung would change that, not even his past. No amount of gilt could cloud how much he loved the younger. But it did distort his own self image a bit.
He knew that must be how BangChan felt about Xinlong. But ZeYu couldn't help but feel protective over BangChan's lover. He had known the older for longer than he'd ever willingly admit. He knew the ruthless type man he was. Compassion and the ability to love never being in the man's main traits.
But, BangChan took the pendant so ZeYu knew he was protecting his boyfriend.
ZeYu studied the piece of jewelry in his hand a little longer before clipping it over his neck. He didn't know what was going to happen or who he was going to see, so he best be wearing it.
