Skye opened her pup house and stretched. She walked outside and inhaled deeply, savoring the smell of the crisp morning air and the cool chill it brought along with it; they were among her favorite reasons for waking up early. She always aimed to be first up, a fun little challenge she liked to play. She'd occasionally beaten Chase, who has always been the first to wake up, a few time over. Each time has been her own prideful little trophy, even if no one understood the joy in not sleeping in.

Skye closed her eyes and smiled one last time, doing a quick final stretch and giving in to a pesky yawn and trotted towards the edge of the nearby cliff. It was a frequent past time of hers to sit on the edge of the cliff and watch the sun rise over ocean, bringing life to the world below. It was arguably the best place to watch the sunrise in all of Adventure Bay, and she was lucky enough to live right by it! There was nothing blocking the sun, just the ocean and the horizon.

Skye saw a silhouette on the cliff's side. Skye blinked and walked over. It was Chase.

"Chase?"

The German Shepherd visibly tensed, quite obviously not expecting the sudden intrusion in on his thoughts. However, the moment their eyes met, the tension melted away immediately, like a stick of butter in a hot pan. Jeez, she woke up hungrier than she thought.

"Hey, Skye."

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"I couldn't sleep very well. I woke up — I think — and hour ago and couldn't go back to sleep." He sighed. His eyes wandered back to the horizon over the ocean. The first light of dawn was gradually brightening the night sky. The sun is sure to pop up any minute now. "I decided to come here to watch the sunrise. I didn't expect to wait so long, though." He laughed awkwardly.

"Oh." Skye walked up to Chase and sat next to him. "Still caught up on yesterday?"

Chase nodded.

"Well, don't forget what I told you. We will find out what is going on and fix it together as a team." Skye smiled at him.

"I know, and you are right. No one is getting hurt on my watch." Chase grinned. "Now let's watch this sunrise, it should be coming up any minute now."

The ten year old boy, and the only human member of the Paw Patrol, found himself inside the elevator at the ripe hour of seven in the morning. He tiredly rubbed at his eyes as he ascended to the top floor of the Lookout, where he unexpectedly found his little recycling pup fixated on the large monitor. Ryder looked at the screen, it had a couple dozen numbers printed on it. He walked over to his pup to get a closer, clearer look. His little mongrel didn't even need to look to know who was now standing next to him.

"Ryder, it's getting bad. The cases proliferating."

"Huh?" The confused voice of the team's construction pup drew their attention.  Rubble perked up from his little beanbag, attention pulled from his little snack bowl and comic book he'd been reading.

"The accounting cases are rapidly enlarging?" Rocky tried.

Rubble blinked.

"He means there are more cases being reported." Ryder translated for Rubble.

"WHAT?!"

The trio turned to look at a frantic German Shepherd puppy running out of the elevator and sliding to a halt in front of the large monitor. If one were paying closer attention, one might have noticed the slight tremble in his stance.

"You're lying, right? You're lying!"

"Sorry, Chase," Rocky apologized. "This is what the computer is generating; unless they're false reports, the chances of it being wrong are close to none."
