Roseanne's POV:

I'm so excited!

The country club in my village invited me to play as they have an event for upcoming artists!

I check the time, grab my guitar and use the golf cart to drive there. I basically have my permit but it's still a student permit. And the legal driving age in the village is 14, so I'm fine. I get there an hour before the event starts. I see the other artists setting up also.

I see my friends wearing shirts... with my face on it.

"YA'LL WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?" I ask.

"Well, it's basically your debut as a singer, so we came with merch, well unofficial merch but you get it," Seulgi replies.

"We came to support you!" Joy squeals.

"Aww thank you so much!" I say.

"Whatever, just remember us when you're famous!"

"How could I not?"

Suddenly, a voice echoes.

"WHERE IS MY FAVORITE VOCALIST PARK ROSEANNE??"

"OH MY GOD! LALISA AND HYERI!!!! WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING HERE? IT'S BEEN TOO LONG, MY BESTIES!" I squeal.

"A little birdy told us you'd be performing."

"Well, not a little birdy, rather seven birdies but who's counting."

I give a thankful look to my other friends.

"Wait, y'all know each other? " I ask in confusion.

"We were friends in elementary school."

"Damn I feel so left out." I playfully pout.

I had prepared three songs to sing.

First one is 11:11

Then, Hope Not,

And lastly, Sweet Night.

I bitterly chuckled at the fond memory.

All of the songs I wrote, except for Sweet Night, which was written by Jimin and I.

Hyeri noticed my notebook and sighed.

"You still love him huh?"

"At this point, do I even have to answer?" I replied.

"He still remembers you, you know, he passes by your old locker every so often, goes to your secret spot, even brings you up in random conversations." She says.

"Please don't give me false hope"

"False hope is essentially just hope. We choose to believe, if it is false, then it isn't hope. Hope is being optimistic that maybe things will go your way, the definition people use now of hope is subjective. It's your story Rosie, do you choose to leave it unwritten and abandoned, or do you choose to forge on and take a chance? The choice is yours." She responds.

"Park Roseanne, you go up in 5." the announcer says.

I go backstage, keeping in mind what Hyeri said.

I take a few breaths to calm my nerves before I go on stage.

Damn 5 minutes passes by fast.

I walk towards the microphone as I strum the first few chords on my guitar.

I close my eyes and

sing.

I hear the crowd cheers as a smile appears on my face,

This is amazing.

Performing is amazing.

I feel so alive.

Who knew 6 minutes could pass by eso quickly?

It was already time for my last song.

Sweet Night

Our song.

As I strummed the starting chords,

I heard laughing.

An all too familiar laugh.

I saw you enter the venue as our eyes met.

You were with Taehyung, Jungkook and Jin.

Why here?

Why now?

Why on this song?

I had no choice but to sing it.

"This song was actually written by me and... someone special to me."

"On my pillow, can't get me tired"

"Sharing my fragile truth, that I still hope the door is open"
