Nana's POV
I looked out through the window and let out a small sigh in content, observing today's weather and the bright blue sky.
It's sunny today...
It had been peaceful for a couple of days as Touya went overseas for work purposes which meant there was no one to torment me to death. Thinking back about his marriage proposal, at first I thought he was just messing with me like he always did. But after what happened at the Todoroki Royal Hotel, it looked like that wasn't the case at all.
"But Touya-kun is right though." Momo spoke up, making me look back at her. "If he said 'dating with high school girl', then it would be scandalous. But there is no problem if he goes out with a prospective marriage partner."
"If Touya says he's serious about this, then at least you should believe him for once, Nana." Jiro chimed in.
Right now, it was our lunch break at school, so my friends took seats and gathered around my desk to talk about what happened that day at the hotel. While we were on to this topic, Shoto walked up to us and took a seat beside me.
"Nana, are you really getting married to my brother anytime soon?" Shoto asked in his usual monotone voice.
"Marry?!" I squeaked out in surprise before looking away from him nervously. "I-I don't know... I mean it's not like I'm gonna marry him while I'm still in high school, so I still haven't thought much about it yet."
"Come to think of it, marriage proposal presupposes the marriage in the future." Jiro stated.
"And Nana is 16, so she can marry Touya-kun legally anyway." Momo giggled with a bright smile on her face.
[Side note: Article 731 to 737 of the Japanese Civil Code stipulates the following requirements: The male partner must be 18 years of age or older and the female partner must be 16 years of age or older. A person who is under 20 years of age cannot get married in Japan without a parent's approval.]
"And he is unexpectedly very serious about this." Jiro added.
"You should reject him. Touya-Nii may have everything what every girl wants, but his life span is limited. He's 8 years older than you in the end." Shoto chimed in; his voice tone was somewhat surprisingly serious.
I gave Shoto a confused look for saying something like this about his own brother. But Momo quickly slapped a hand on his mouth, preventing him from talking any further.
"Nana, it's fine! Don't listen to this idiot!" Momo stated in a panicked yet assuring voice. "You can realistically make a brilliant marriage with Touya-kun!"
"Move your hand, Yaoyorozu." Shoto hissed, swatting away Momo's hand.
And with that Momo and Shoto stared to bicker back and forth while I simply stared at them in confusion before shaking my head and looking back at the window to enjoy the outside view.
Touya might be seriously about this...
Both Enji-san and Rei-san might be okay with me being Touya's future wife...
But what about Granny Himura? Or their relatives?
What would people say?
What would others think?
Will being with me gonna affect Touya's career?
Thoughts like these started to swirl around in my mind and before I knew it, all the classes after the lunch break came to an end for today. After packing up my school bag, I walked out of my classroom and headed towards the front gate of the school and as soon as I reached there, I stumble across the eldest Todoroki sibling; Touya.
