Wakey Wakey

Carly's POV
It was getting late, everybody visited me but Leo is not here yet

I was worried about what happened to him, did he regret confessing to me?

I want to doubt but I stopped myself because Leo is not the type who would leave instantly if he managed to face his fear, visiting hours is almost over

"Maybe he was too tired to visit" I said to myself, it was almost time

I heard the door open and it was Leo who is grinning as he walked up to me, he looks tired and was panting

"did I made it?" he asked, I looked at the clock

Visiting hours are over but I didn't tell him, he looks so happy

"maybe" I said

"Close your eyes" he said in a quiet voice, I closed my eyes and I feel a book was given to me

I can tell from the texture of the cover

"you can open them now" he said

I opened my eyes and I was surprised, it was a photo album

I looked at Leo and he gestured for me to open it, I opened it and it was every photo taken from the Fair all the way to the Lakehouse moments

There were a lot of group photos in it and some are photos of me, there was a photo where I was busy walking beside the shore

I look at Leo, he just gave me a playful smile since the photo is the one he pictured me without me knowing

The last page is the photo of us back when we were at the cliff behind the laboratory, we both heard somebody coming near the door and I look at Leo with eyes that say 'oh sh*t'

Leo managed to find a place to hide and it was inside my small closet that is meant for me to store some clothes, the female nurse went in and checked everything

"Goodnight miss Myers" she said and left the room after she checked everything, Leo came out of the small closet and taking in air

"gosh I thought I was gonna die of suffocation in there" he said and sat down beside me at the bed

He later lies down at the bed beside me, the bed is not small it just so happen that it was the right size for the both of us to fit in it

Leo closed his eyes and I think he fell asleep, I looked back at the album and I saw a small piece of paper peeking from behind our photo from the cliff

I pull it out and it was a tiny envelope, I opened it and I read the letter

Hey Carly,
I know that everything just happened so quickly you must be overwhelmed, I just wanted you to know that I didn't regret confessing to you. I am going to be honest here, I didn't expect that you were the one I would fall for the more we spent more time together. Happy Birthday Carly I truly loved you the moment we met and I hope we can be together and be happy, get well soon too

From Leo

I was touched by Leo's letter and I feel myself smiling, I set the photo album down the table next to the bed

Leo was still sleeping but suddenly Leo pulled me to lie down with him, Leo still has his eyes close

He encircled both of his arms around me like a hug and he pull me closer to him, his hand reached for the blanket and covered both of us

He fell asleep again, I can see his features really up close as he sleeps

I never notice it but he has long lashes and a very strong jawline, for a high schooler how on earth did he manage to look like a model?

I hug him while lying down and I was still admiring his face, his eyes look like it was about to open so I close my eyes pretending to sleep

Leo's POV
I open my eyes a little and I saw Carly sleeping and she was embracing me back, she has a lovely face

I know I said it a lot but it really is true, she has a cute and innocent face

I put her hair behind her ear and I can see her face more clearly, so this is the woman that everybody calls a creep

I guess she was creepy for wandering and sneaking around school like a ghost back then, she tends to have a habit of not wanting to be seen

She opened her eyes slowly and is looking at me
"I thought you were asleep" I told her

"I thought you were sleeping too" she replied

Carly's POV
"the letter you wrote" I said to him

"Is there something wrong with it? too corny?" he said

I shake my head
"no it was sweet, I didn't know you have this side or maybe I don't know since you dated a lot of girls before"

"Listen to me Carly, carefully" he said
"I did date a lot of girls but I never take them seriously believe me" he said quickly, so I will not misunderstand him

I smiled softly at him "I do believe you" and he gave out a sigh of relief

I was about to sleep until I feel him poking my cheek, I opened my eyes
"alright where is my Goodnight kiss?" he said with a smirk on his face

I rolled my eyes at him and he just gave out a low chuckle, he leaned in and we kissed

It was warm and it lasted for a good minute or 2, we finally stopped kissing

"alright happy?" I asked him and he nodded "very" he replied

We both finally went to sleep

••••the next day••••

"WAKEY WAKEY!!!" we heard someone shout and we were both startled awake, we saw that it was Merlin

Everyone and my parents are here, I think I might die from embarrassment
