This Is Why I Don't Have A Cousin Yet

Carly's POV
I couldn't take in too much information in one day, especially after what Hunter just said

"Hunter please be more specific, who the heck is Maria?" Merlin asked him

Hunter knows who's Audelair's daughter is, my assumption that it might be me but I wouldn't jump to conclusions that quickly

Hunter sat down and was just silent his eyes went to me
"you have a scar on your thigh" he suddenly blurted out

My eyes went wide, how the heck does he know about my scar on my thigh

"Hunter, are you a pervert?" Brittney asked him and Hunter shake his head, he walked up to me and said "take off your pants" he said in a monotone voice

Leo suddenly hit him at the back of his head real hard, I stopped Leo from doing another punch
"is he in his right mind?" Leo asked Anna

"I mean it" Hunter said
"he is telling the truth there is a scar on my thigh" I said because I'm afraid that Leo might attack Hunter even more if Hunter tried to prove what he is saying is real

Hunter went out of the lab and Both Brittney and Merlin followed him, I feel a bit dizzy and I held on to Leo's shoulder for support

Leo held me so I wouldn't fall and he helped me sit on the couch, Anna went up to me and look around my now healed hand
"looks like we are going to have to do a little test on you Carly" she said

Stacy's POV
All of this is so sudden, I was only sound asleep this morning and here we are wondering if Carly is the daughter of the guy who owns the lake that Leo's lakehouse is beside of

Kevin saw my confused and lost face, he patted me at the back. Carly is now sleeping on Leo's shoulder
"Should I call up her parents?" I asked Merlin's Mom and she nodded

I looked at Kevin, I was worried because Carly is always being protected her whole life. She always hid herself from her hoodie and lived a lonely life, back then I was her only friend

If I tell her parents her freedom might be taken away from her, I was hesitating but Carly right now is struggling and I can't watch her struggle even more

So I held my breath and I called up her Mom

"Hello?" her Mom's voice is on the phone

I told her what happened

Carly's POV
I can see that there is a boy that is chained up by his feet, he was crying. I was on some dirty floor

I can't move but I see everything around me, there is a guy that is walking up to me. He was wearing a surgical mask, he checked my pulse from my wrist

"Good job Maria, soon you will be a new evolution of a human being" he said and patted my head, he left me in some kind of cell

I can't move, I am having a hard time breathing

Carly...

Carly..

"Carly Wake up!" Leo was shaking me and my eyes shot open, my breathing was shaking and I was sweating

Leo cupped my face, his face is filled with worry
"you were mumbling and was having a hard time breathing" he said

He dried my face with a handkerchief then kissed my forehead, he held my hand
"All of this was too sudden for you is it?" he asked me and I slowly nodded

I heard a door open and I saw dad came in and he sat beside me, he was sitting on the floor next to the couch
"you ok?" he asked me and I smiled a little, Dad gave me sad eyes

"Your Mom, Anna and I will talk for a while, you should rest up more" he told me and he stood up and covered me with a blanket. Dad went out of the room

I looked around "where am I?"
Leo grinned "we're still at Merlin's mansion"

"oh" I said, since we were alone I hugged Leo. He was not surprised by it and slowly embraced me

I put my ear to his chest and I can hear his heartbeat again
"Your heartbeat is very relaxing, I like it"

"Oy! don't do that when I'm around" I heard a male voice, we both looked and it was Leo's uncle Eddy. That guy has so much energy in him I swear

I giggled
"Eddy? What are you doing here?" Leo asked him, we were still hugging each other

"I'll tell ya when both of you stop hugging, reminds me of Molly not giving me enough affection" he said and I can see Molly right behind him with her hands crossed

Eddy hasn't noticed it yet
"Oh really?" Molly said which startled Eddy, Eddy became flustered and tried to explain to Molly but she isn't having any of it and walked away

"and this is why I don't have a cousin yet" Leo remarked at Eddy and he sighed

Eddy ran after Molly, I squeezed Leo with my hug

Leo's POV
I like it when Carly made the first move to hug me, her cuddles are top tier

I caressed her face
"sorry you have to spend our first day as a couple here, we should've celebrated it together" I said to her and she gave me an angelic smile
"no, it's ok I like it even if we are just doing this" she said in a gentle voice

I feel that there is a pillow thrown at my face, I removed it and it was Hunter that was looking at the both of us
"so you guys are official?" he asked

Carly grinned "yeah" she said in a shy voice, Hunter's face became sullen but he instantly changed it into a happy face to Carly

"congrats"
"thanks" I replied to him, he looked at me before he left

Carly tried to sit up but accidentally fell off the couch, Both of us were laughing

"I feel like you pushed me" she said to me
"no I didn't" I replied to her, she tackled me and now we are wrestling in the room
