How Olakitan looks like👆👆💅💅
Almost dozing off at the voice of the boring lecturer, I sit up again rubbing my eyes of any sleep.
It's like this woman is auto tuned today, or was it me who can't seem to keep my eyes open.
Don't blame me...yesterday was hectic, we had our orientation exercise and of course our matriculation ceremony will be tomorrow.
I have warned my parents not to attend to save money as I promise to take pictures which will be a prove and souvenir that their daughter is know a university student.
"When is this lecture ending?" Keji asked me as I check my wristwatch.
"Just forty minutes till the class ends" she groaned "it is a two hours lecture girl, get use to it"
"I think I will get the course outline, she is not speaking up and her face looks like she does not want to be here"
I look at the lecturer and I can't help but think she was right. It's like the woman is speaking through her nose and the bored expression says it all.
"Maybe she is not interested in taking the lecture" I tried reasoning out as she only snorts.
"That guy can't keep his eyes off you" she said quietly only for me to look at her. Discreetly pointing at an area occupied by our mates in the lecture room.
I frown at her words looking at the place as she cautioned me not to make it that obvious.
He looked away as I lock eyes with him. I raise an eyebrow at his behavior.
"I think he was staring at you" I pointed out but she shook her head adamantly.
"No it was you...it was too obvious"
I sigh knowing am not going to win this argument so I decided to leave her with her illusion.
My phone vibrates in my bag, we all had our phones in silent mode to avoid any distraction. I bring it out, putting it under the desk, reading the text.
'Egbon, how far? Just want to check up on you. I never knew I could say this but I miss you o. E sha se jeje'
💝 YemiI smile at the text, it is my younger brother. Adeyemi. He is in Ss2 and is very troublesome. How was he even texting me?, he should be in school.
Don't tell me he took his phone to school! I groan, biting my lip.
My ears caught unto what the woman was saying, she was going to group us for a project.
Am going to text him later and am going to give him a piece of my mind.
I listen attentively and waited patiently as she grouped us, we have not been given our matriculation number so we were grouped according to the way we sat.
She placed us ten in a group.
We have to work together on the project and I don't speak to most of my course mate expect Keji.
Guess I will have to start talking to them now.
After the class, we wrote the attendance and we met for the group assignment. We were testing new waters so it was all strange to us. We gather a bit of information on the topic and shared ideas.
